Shopping Our Stash SOS507-Franken-card Whatever says Halloween to you! Everything on here is ancient. Except the paper, but it's a year or two old! 

I am a hurtin' unit. That's what my cousin who was in the military used to say!

Mom went to Canasta Thursday. I am happy to say that the gutters are cleaned out until the next major windstorm, and the roof is sprayed for moss! That's up and down the ladder a gazillion times! Oh, and the garden shed is done too!

But wait, there's more! When my brother was here, he raked leaves. in front of the house, and under the big tree in the back. The night he left, we had wind!

 I spent a couple hours yesterday cleaning up after him the wind.

 I covered that pile of leaves last night! I'm hoping Kalen can take them when he comes for the rest of the weed pile! I put them nicely on a tarp!

Today I channeled Paula Bunyan (legendary lumberjack Paul's sister winkwink), and chopped wood for an hour! I am a sucker for punishment. The wood that was delivered last fall has quite BIG chunks in it, and my mother won't burn them! I am trying to clean out one side of the woodshed!

Tomorrow I will chop some more wood, and One Hour Cinnamon Buns are on the list! That's on top of the marathon cleaning I do while she's at church. Some things are better done when she's not home! I have a 1.5 hour time-frame!

I have done this! Autumn, sort of!?

 

I stamped and embossed my image with an embossing powder called Golden Sand. Had it for quite a while, thought I should try it, and it's pretty; well, pretty!
I assembled my WHOLE card before playing with flower soft! It's like glitter! Hahaha

Try It On Tuesday Autumn

We Love Stamping October Challenge I finally stamped something that should fit in with the mood board colors!

I spent most of the day outside. My brother came for one sleep over and brought his laundry! Just like a college kid! I did his laundry while making supper last night. I had a list! Between him & Kalen, I want things done! And between the 2 of them, things are getting crossed off! He left this afternoon while I was in the garage. Trying to put stuff away etc. Then I came in & did some house work.......

Also my room faces the fire pit, where we had trimmed shrubs and were burning the evidence! I can keep an eye on it! I think it's raining now though!

Brysons birthday is coming up! He will be  7! Where does the time go! I asked him what he'd like for a birthday card this year. He said he loves camping so I made him this.

 

It's made from a card kit; I found the tent here!

They don't sleep in a tent, they have an old motor home that him, his dad and his grandpa use a couple times a year. He's also been fishing!

Was a busy day today! And a LOT cooler!

Kalen came for the weed pile, he has to come back next week. Guess there were more weeds this year.

I had appointments in town this morning. Stopped at the library to pick up the book I won last week for Free Book Friday, and ended up putting an application in to volunteer with  Friends of the Library.

I also stamped the wrong image....not what I wanted to use, and colored it anyway!

I was early for my shift at the Tuck Shop today, so popped into the Second Hand store that is next door. All craft items were 50% off. You know, cause I need more. Well, I scored 2 margarita glasses for $1.00 and found these....

The Heartfelt Creations stamps are a dog and cat with 3 sentiments.

The other 2 are in rough shape!

It looks like paint, and I'm sure they just need a good bath!

I found this leaf stencil while looking for another one!

The leaves were stamped, from a gelli plate mess (haha), then embossed! Then fussy cut (shudder). I have leaf dies, but apparently they are not for these stamps I have!? Which is odd, cause they are the same shapes.

I wanted to catch the shine from the glimmer mist. Don't think you can see it!

I found something like this on Pinterest, and she used a glimmer mist. Would you be surprised to know that I have unopened mists??

I took them outside; I was worried spraying them would be like my red glimmer mist, which is only good for Halloween cards, as it looks like blood splatter!

This was a copper, and it misted nicely! A few bigger blobs, but they added character!

I LOVE these little guys! I used my Ohuhu markers for the first time.

The carrot is actually 2 oranges, and the pumpkin is a different orange, and a yellow!!?? I will practice! They were definitely not as much work as my pencil crayons & gamsol!

I did my shift at the Tuck Shop today. We have a -20% off until Thanksgiving (which is October 9th in Canada) I did look up 'Tuck Shop' for those that ask. "A shop, typically one on school premises, that sells candy, snacks, and soft drinks." I know when we were in the hospital we used to sell those things. Then Covid. Now we are downtown in a donated building, and our stuff is handmade by volunteers, and donated to our shop. We are volunteers that work there, and all money raised goes to our local hospital.

Yes I sprayed it to set it....still....it's glitter! I will have to think long and hard about who will get this....maybe with a warning label!?

Still outside! Yesterday I cleaned up behind and beside the garden shed. Today I had a redo. I knew I could do better! 

Tonight I picked some plums (so good) and zip tied the privacy fence where Kalen didn't. He said he didn't finish, I said I would! Had to be done before he comes to pick up my humongous pile of weeds. It's free yard waste drop off at the dump, and last year I filled the back of the pickup, and this year should be the same!

There's been quail checking out the neighborhood. They make me laugh with their hairdo!!
