I have had a busy two days!

Sunday was the Doubles Crib Tournament at the Wild North Brewery!

I was Kalen's partner, and we won two and lost two. Then we went out for supper after. Was a great day and a lot of fun!

Yesterday my mom had a physiotherapy appointment. Her car wouldn't start. She doesn't go anywhere for long periods of time, so her battery goes dead. I took her to her appointment, out for lunch, then we went to Bingo. Didn't win a thing, but it was a good day!

She had lunch out with a friend today, so about 7 am I put the battery charger on her car. When she was ready to leave at 11, it was charged!

Tomorrow's my morning at the Tuck Shop. Then maybe coffee with a friend! 

Been warm, melting and raining. Sump pumps inside and outside have been running. I'm pretty sure it's not Spring yet! 

Made 3 cards today from 'stuff' off my desk! I can see light at the end of the tunnel! OK, we all know there's no end, but I'm not 'moving' things. (I have a big desk!) They're kind of contained in a tray in front of my computer. Been working on those and a bin. Or 2. Or 3! 

I'd say I wasn't going to stamp anything new until everything is used up, but I finished a card last night that I worked on for 2 days. New stamps and dies! It's a disease! My name is Gail, and I'm a Craftaholic!

 I am slowly getting all the stamped images off of my desk! Instead of moving them around; some never to be seen again, I am coloring them (some are colored images) and/ or making them into cards!

As you Like It Challenge/ What's your favorite: Pearls or Gems (and why) I tend to use both. I've used pearls here, they just seemed to go better with the background doily paper!

Apparently I am going to the Brewery tomorrow to be a 4th for Kalen and Emma in a crib tournament. I am not a hot shot player. I know how to play. That's it!

Bryson has an iPad for his reading program at school (isn't that crazy)! Anyhoo, he Facetimes me almost every day! So; I make him read to me! Hahaha! He tried to quit today in the middle of a chapter. NOPE! Said he'd call me later!

My boss at the Tuck Shop and her husband have recently had Covid. We will live with that for the rest of our lives.

It's still cold! Another 2 days I think! The weatherman keeps changing his mind....anyhoo, today was tropical compared to the last 2 and it was still -20C something! Warmed up 10-15 degrees from the previous 2 days!

I am just going to town, on winter/ Christmas themed cards! Stays cold, there's no stopping me!

Wowsers! Must be the NEW year! Lots of challenges want 'new stuff'! This is a fun little set! It also has a skier, cabin...all outdoorsy! And the stencil is so cool!

Lots of water problems in the neighborhood, knock on wood! Our water lines aren't very deep...we don't usually have these crazy temperatures!! Kalen and Emma were here for supper, and Emma said her mom's water comes from a stream on the mountain, and it's the first time ever it froze! Emmas mom might be the last one on the line out of 4 or 5. Lots of times those water lines are above ground! It's a stream people, always flows down! Alberta got power yesterday from BC, Saskatchewan and Montana. Manning my home town in northern Alberta was the coldest place on earth yesterday morning! That's not a record anyone wants to break!!

Baby, it's cold outside! The background and snowmen (uncolored) were in the UFO box. 

The background is a wax paper resist that I have not done for years! I tried to line up the original embossing folder. Had to settle for stripes! Just couldn't get it to line up!! I also sprayed the snowflake and words with a shimmer spray. Not sure if it will show up!

I do not know when it has ever been this cold here! -32C this morning! And doesn't warm up much in the day.

We are used to one or two nights of -20C and that's it. We're back to above 0 during the day!! We are to have at least 2 more nights/days of this. This is why I left Northern Alberta. And they were the coldest place on earth this morning at -50C something! 

I really am still making Valentine cards! See, I DO get sidetracked, which is why I had 3 containers of UFOs!

Kalen did get here on Tuesday with his air compressor! I may or may not have bribed him with a pot of stew!? Him & Emma, then stayed to play cards, so I was out snow-blowing after 8 pm! It's dun! We're supposed to get a bunch more....it is what it is!

Took about half a dozen Valentine cards to the Tuck Shop. I have a kit of them half finished on my desk, and I'm making Bryson a card, as he won the Grade 2 You ROCK (Recognition of Character & Kindness) at school for January. Maybe December.

Been out shoveling snow. That's a losing battle!! Did all the walks and out at the gate to the driveway!

I need to get out of here tomorrow and the next day. Might have to see if Kalen can bring his air compressor for the flat tire on the snowblower; after he's done work, so I can clear the yard and driveway! No use complaining...it IS winter!

Back to Valentine's cards!! I am on a roll with those!
