 A dear friend of mine; who used to stamp HM images and send them to me, decided she wasn't making cards any more, and I got a portion of her HM stamps. Call me thrilled!! This one is Fall Commuters! Background sky stenciled, leaves and mice colored with Ohuhu markers. These meeces just make me smile!

I must be on a roll this week! Or I need cards made! 

I have not used all the stamps etc. I HAD to have over the last year! But I am making a serious effort!

 

This is a Penny Black Stamp from Mimi's Winter Friends. I tore cardstock for snow, colored with Ohuhu markers, stickles for snow flakes.

It has warmed up here, and will stay that way for about a week....so I will get after the gardens! One of the raised beds is cleaned out! 3 to go, and some little squash! I did 2 pints of dilled carrots from the bed I cleaned out!

 I made this tag/ bookmark!

I found a small packet of these already stamped Bookmark sized tags at my Thrift store! I looked it up and it's Penny Black Labor of Love. colored with Ohuhu markers! And inked the background with my dirty stencil brushes!

I honestly don't know when I have time to craft! I have been busy volunteering! Vanessa calls any volunteering I do; my unpaid job! 

The last 2 days were spent at the fall Fair. If I don't volunteer, I don't go! This year my shift in the Fund A Friday (Library) booth ended Friday night so I was able to watch the Farmer Olympics! Which was hilarious! 

Lots of vendors, food trucks, fair entries and our booth was right across from the Kids Zone, which itself was pretty entertaining! 

I have become a regular at Canasta so that takes up my Monday. Tuesday mornings are spent restocking the book room at the library! Wednesday mornings are the Tuck Shop until 1pm. Thursdays Scrabble is from 11:30-1:30. I guess I usually have Friday and the weekend free!

Friends of the Library are planning our fall book sale! 

Fund a Friday bunch are planning a Pumpkin Hayride, I said I would volunteer for! I missed last years! 

I made salsa yesterday when I came home from the Fair! 

I think dilled carrots are the only thing left on my list!

And a few of us are going to the movie tonight, because we need a laugh! It's Coyote vs. Acme! 

I have been unwinding in the evening doing some coloring when I have a minute!

 I am using the large Woodware stamp called Nature Page. It's inked in black on Kraft paper. The dies are all Stampendous Deckle dies. Sentiment is SU. I realized that I recently used this stamp! Here! Now you can see how versatile it is!

I can't say that things are back to normal, after a summer with Bryson! I also can't say that the days have slowed down!

I made a HM card, and it's a Christmas card....just giving you a heads up!

 I have a lot of images on my desk right now waiting to be colored! Not just House Mouse! I used a Sizzix EF, colored with Ohuhu markers, and added twine on the side. It's real sparkly as I sprayed it with shimmer spray!

I will have delivered Bryson to his parents in Alberta. School for him probably started yesterday! Hopefully it was another summer full of memories! I'm exhausted! Hahahaha! Good thing I only have one grandchild! 

It's the second of the month, so time to see who sent what to who in the Card Chain Challenge!

I managed a collage, (Loosely), a mouse (AALL and Create), Friendship (Gina K) and the sentiment is Lawn Fawn!

Once I had an idea, it came together!  I just wish it could have been sooner! Almost the middle of the month before I mailed this! Sorry Pia!

 I have used Lavinia stamps, Wizardry and Bijou! I tried to create a table of sorts using an LST stencil from one of my kits. The back ground is a stencil from another LST kit. I have colored/ shaded with Ohuhu markers. The sentiment is Tim Holtz small talk!

It's quite shimmery IRL. And I put glossy accents on his eyes!

Lynne is the host this fortnight over at Allsorts and she would like to see embossing. You can use heat or dry. There is the Anything Goes option too.

 I had this paper on my desk for some reason. It's from a paper pad that has no cover anymore! The die is a Gina Marie quilt die. I didn't poke all the pieces out then put them back. I put a black border on paper and embossed my 'quilt' with a Sizzix EF. I think the sentiment might be Gina Marie too! Which I cut out in black several times, and decided it needed to be yellow!

I have used a Spellbinders stamp and die set called Seahorse Garden. It's not on the Spellbinders site, but is available elsewhere. Images are colored with Ohuhu markers. The sentiment is from the set too. The embossing folder is Spellbinders!

Challenge #852 Blooms, Birds and or Bees

It's Ellies turn to host over at Allsorts, and she has chosen Blooms, Birds and/or Bees.  You can use the Anything Goes option if you like.

I used blooms and bees!

I tried the technique where you smoosh an ink pad over one side of your embossing folder. This EF was call Distressed from SU. I am ok with it; but the first color I used was a purple, and it didn't speak to me! The crocus (and I had trouble with the stamens!) are Spellbinder, and the sentiment and bees are SU!Put is all together with glitter glue, which takes forever to dry, and a few foam pads under the sentiment!

We Love Stamping June 2026 Sports and Hobbies, or Anything Goes I think gardening is a hobby! 

I am getting ready to go up north!!

However, we've had a bit of excitement here! The kids are away for a week. We have been having horrible winds, and last week the wind broke a branch off the massive maple tree in the backyard. I asked Kalen about it before they left, and he said he wasn't going to worry about it! I said, well I am! We called it 'the Death Branch.' 

 

Kalen arranged for a friend (it's what he does) to come take the branch down. Was a massive branch off of the massive tree. You can see on the right there's a piece of plywood on the window. The window's new! The table in the forefront was sitting right where the branch is!

The branch is all piled up in a corner of the backyard, and I will clean up, and put the deck back together later this afternoon! I am filling in at Canasta today! I have watered the garden, and cleaned the front deck! It has not been very warm here!

Last Friday I had an extra shift at the Tuck Shop. I had an appointment in the afternoon, and a friend coming to make Pineapple, Rhubarb Strawberry jam. Told her to bring everything but the rhubarb. She came at 4, and by 5:05 we were at an art exhibition for one of the Canasta ladies! Was a busy day!!

This card has a lot going on! Pris is swinging way up above the tree tops. The forage fairies need to talk. The Bell flower vine is there, Forest Lanterns, and a stampscape stamp for some tree tops. A lot of stickles, a stenciled background and the hello is SU!

MFT stitched blooms, and the background stamp is from Crafters Companion from the $$ store.

I am going to decorate the wagon for the parade later. It's our Blossom Festival this weekend! First I am going to the store to get clear plastic wrap as it's supposed to rain! Our apple blossom buds are made out of tissue paper and they will melt!

I am also going the to Food Hub to get salad turnips (eat them like an apple!), and see what else they have! 

Tomorrow is the parade, I volunteered to be in the Fund a Friday booth for the library from 8-10:30 am.

Sunday I am going to the Pow Wow out at the reserve. It's a big deal and they have bands competing from Canada and the US.

Monday is a holiday here and I'm filling in at Canasta.

 I am using pink. Again. The SU embossing folder is called Birds and Swirls, and it's a mottled pink card stock.The die is Prim Poppy from Memory Box, and the sentiment is SU, cut out with an SU punch!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #464 May Flowers or Anything Goes Must use a House Mouse, Gruffie or Hopper!
 

I am retired. Mostly I am just tired. I volunteer, and find people depend on me!?  It's great to feel wanted, but I'm tired. Today already I have done 2 loads of laundry and tidied up. There is just me, but still!. I will leave home close to 11 to get the library conference room set up for Scrabble. I will play Scrabble. It is every Thursday. At 1:30 pm I will set up the green room at the library so people(Friends of the Library) can wrap Blind Date With a Book books! I will make buttons, and book marks in a different room. That will learn me for learning how to operate the button machine!! The library is having a Fund A Friday fundraiser. There is a quilt out in the community that people can donate to. We are decorating a float for the parade next weekend. It's being pulled by our friends with Clydesdales! It's for our town's annual Blossom Festival weekend. The theme is Apple Blossoms! I am all over that with paper and Tissue paper blossoms! Our library is only open 4 days a week. We are hoping to raise enough money to open it one more day a week for a year! I have to pop over to see my mom. The regular cook is on holidays, and mom forgets to take her supper out of the fridge to her room!

We have been digging up our no maintenance front yard, and relocating plants and shrubs to make room for 4 garden boxes. Some plants are not happy! We also do not have a lot of color in the yard, so I planted pansies, poppies and ground cover. Our front yard is up about 3-4 feet and has huge rock stairs. I planted creeping thyme in those rocks and in the other rock staircase I planted rock cress. 

I also signed up for this from Wildsight. Because we're in the pollinators path. There have been hummingbirds at the feeder, but no birds bathing in the birdbath yet! 

Maybe it's my own fault I am so busy!! Oh yes, I can say no!!

There are just too many things to do! It's our Bird Festival weekend! I am playing bird trivia at the Wild North Brewery on Saturday. They often have delicious ciders on tap! 

I have also been making these for the Tuck Shop

I tried to use a pen, but they are too hard to get in and out of the holder! They are about 3" X 6"

 Better go, get my clothes put away!

I have Long Ears, Spring, Friendship, bookpaper which I tore out of a Thesaurus for the definition of 'friend'. I have embossed and I have a fancy edge embossed on the right. EF are SU. The rabbits etc. are a border stamp from  SU colored with Ohuhu markers!

Allsorts #848 Shaped/ Anything but Square

It's Christine over at Allsorts, and she would like to see your Shaped cards! Anything but a square. There is also the Anything Goes option too! 

Here's my card!

 I have used a Spellbinders die to make my shaped easel card! I used SU ink to blend a background of green, pink and blue. I didn't add any ink, I just used what was on my brushes! I blocked off where the stamp would go and pushed Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze through the AALL & Create stencil Circular Disruption. When it was dry, I stamped and embossed in clear AALL & Create Rosey Daze. I colored just the roses with Ohuhu markers. The sentiment is from Gina K.

Challenge #849 Allsorts In The Garden

Hope you are well!

It's my turn to host over at Allsorts, and I have chosen In The Garden. That is an open ended challenge, as whatever you can imagine in your garden will work! The possibilities are endless! There is the Anything Goes too.

 I have fairies in my garden! She's from Lavinia and quite large. On my packaging she does not have a name, however, a fabulous fairy told me her name is Luna! This is a 5 X 7 Piece of Lavinia Scene-Scapes called Starbright. I have also stamped the Lavinia Bell Flower Vine up the tree on the right. Lots of stickles on her wings, the tree and a lot of the colored dots! Sentiment is SU!
