I'll show you the St. Patrick's Day card I made, in case you don't want to stick around until the end of the blather!

I couldn't get a good picture, and I sent this today, as the mail's taking forever to get to Kalen, and enclosed is his mortgage cheque for his house rental!!!

 

I tried to keep it flat-ish, so the watermarked stamp doesn't show up well!

I was blog surfing on the weekend, and got the idea here!

 

Alrighty, DONE!

It's getting light when I go to work about 7-ish!

Yeah, I was stopped I was so excited!

 

This is the average morning temperature the past 2 weeks....

we're in the deep freeze again.

Gets to -40 something with the windchill!!

Doesn't warm up much during the day...still in the -20's!

And it's gonna keep on coming according to the article here!

 

I took the previous 2 pics yesterday morning, with thoughts of blogging last night.

Glad I didn't get a minute cause............

And that's our new dog Odie!

She's a timid girl, but really likes the treats, and all the activity that goes on!!!

it's too big to be this years, and too small to be last Spring!

but we have that film (keeps out the sun & heat)

 on our windows in the office,

and I was inside by the time we saw this little feller!

I of course screwed up a few times put my spin on things, so it didn't fit in the envelope it should have, but I have a friend that works at a local store that sells cards, and gave me a whole whack of envelopes! I was able to find one for it!
It's really not as hard or daunting as some of you think!

Vanessa's friend had a baby, then surgery, and has a 2 year old; so she's home for 3 weeks cause she needs the help!

We got him a movie, and some Monsters Inc. tattoos!

75 of them to be exact.....Vanessa, "Sarah's going to be busy!"

It linked to Pintrest (nope I'm not a pinner!)

But no matter what I clicked on, I couldn't find the original pinner/maker!

I went to the movie Monday night with a bunch of peeps.

It was Frozen.

It was great! I`d recommend it!

Thursday night we went to classic movie night,

it was Cat Ballou!

Now that was a blast from the past!

Vanessa figured her & her friend were the youngest ones there!!

 

In other news; it`s cold here again!

In the -20`s.

But the sun is shinning, so all`s well!

 

Ray`s having more tests.

He says he feels good, but we`re all in agreement, that something`s `off``!

He had X-rays, blood work, and a CT scan this past week!

 

Better go & get busy!

Vanessa`s making lasagna for tonight, and I`m making apple pies!

Company`s coming, and it will be a night of fun & games at the Luck house!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you get flowers & chocolate, or at least a card!

 

I just wanted to pop in and show you my mom's Valentine's Day card!

I got on the "Card in a Box" train, and made one!

 

There's a lot of videos & instructions out there, but I found mine here!

 

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, and my mom loved it!

I would make more!

A Diamond is just a piece of charcoal that handled stress exceptionally well.

This will be quick cause I thought Vanessa was going to the local hockey game, but she's heeeere!

Here's a pic of my treats, some were handed out today!
My friend at the Bus Depot, and the hairdressers, they're in the same building, and Vanessa's friend who works at the plumbers, cause I had to go pay the bill!

 

I left some yesterday for the bosses children....4 in one family, 1 in the other!

 

Here's the pair of fingerless mittens I whipped up for Vanessa!

 

They're crocheted, she likes them!

I'm working on a brown pair now!

 

I also made this card, and I'm sorry the first pic is blurry!

She doesn't think she's getting anything cause she's living at home!

 

I also ordered her a tiny bouquet for Friday!

Won't she be surprised!

 

Better go, she's already asked me who I'm 'talking' to!

Hahaha!

I've been working on a few cards for the aunts!
I'll show them to you, tell you about amazing blog candy, cause Brenda's so generous,
then you don't have to read the rest of the post!!!
I don't write in these when I send them, so they can pay them forward!

 

The flowers were kinda hard to work with.

They're made out of some felt-ish stuff that isn't very hardy!

When they're glued or glue dotted they're not repositional. AT.ALL.

There will be casualties!!

I have taken a picture of my Big Shot, as it's my 'go-to' for almost every card.

I love die cuts, and embossing.

It sits on my desk, and I think it's an easy way to add to every project!

 

In other news; we're dog sitting at work!

This is Jake.

He is 12 years old.

He is on a diet for being 'morbidly obese'!

He is on drugs for seizures.

Just look at those eyes, we laughed at work, and said

 "No wonder he's overweight, he looks at you with those puppy dog eyes, and you just want to give him the whole bag of treats!"

His people are holidaying in the Dominican Republic!

We have him until next weekend!

He's really a good little feller!

 

I've been walking on the treadmill.

I finally feel everything's slowed down, now I need exercise!

I'm still busy, but it's cold out again, and I'm not doing much.

 

I started crocheting fingerless mittens, I'll let you know how they turn out.

I actually did one in a couple hours last night! They work up quickly.

Only because there was no happy hour at work, and no one was home did I sit & crochet!

 

I drove the community handivan the last 2 Thursdays, and it's been COLD!

The weatherman's been predicting snow, but it's not made much of an effort.

It will only cover up all the ice we have.

Won't hurt my feelings if it doesn't snow again this winter...

that being said, I've probably jinxed us!

 

FYI: The trip Vanessa & I took last Saturday? That I mentioned over here!?

This is for all you 'single' ladies who read this.

When you break up with your boyfriend,

take all your shit stuff, so your mom doesn't have to go get it!

 

All's well; it went ok.

I borrowed a truck from work, and we filled it inside & out!

(Of course he was there!)

We had lunch with friends in the next town,

a few laughs,

got back home & unloaded before supper!
