I made this!

 Everything was in a bin!! The shiny flower paper, shiny pink paper, sentiment, and butterflies! I thought it would look fabulous embossed! I used a script so would be easy to line up!

We all went to the movie last night. It was Disneys WISH. Was a cute movie, good story! My nephew and girlfriend left this morning/ Larry (my brother) is still here until next week. Kalen & Emma were here for Christmas dinner, then yesterday for brunch. We asked moms friend for Christmas, but she's not doing too well. We took her a plate!

I might be able to get on here a time or two before the New Year!!

I have had these pieces on my desk, and for a day or so, thought I was just gonna make pretty trash! It all came together!! The green background is a sparkly gelli plate thingy! The bottom poinsettia was die cut from scraps of worded scraps of paper-ish stuff. The star background is put on a holographic circle I had already ran through the Xyron. The trees were cut out of scraps laying around!

Went out for lunch today with my friend Jan. We go out about every 3 weeks. Decided we are going to every restaurant in town. And there's a LOT!!

Then did a bit of shopping. I am done, I needed some sticky tack. Had to pay bootleg prices as someone drove into our $$ store yesterday!!?  My brother is done work until after the New Year, and is on his way here.

I have a shift at the Tuck Shop tomorrow; we are open until Saturday, then are closed until January 9th.

Ordering my groceries online for tomorrow, stop at the bakery, and the liquor store. I will just have recyclables and garbage to do on Friday or Saturday!! I am set!!

I am cleaning up bits and pieces, ok, making them into cards! Bonus if  they fit with a challenge! I am never happy with this die. For one, it doessn't cut cleanly, and I never know what to put it on. The part of me second guessing myself last night thought maybe the houses should have been black!? First world problems! Someone will get this and be thrilled; so there's that!

Try It On Tuesday Santa Claus is Coming to Town

I went to the Christmas parade in town tonight. It was great, and there was a huge turnout! Just wandered the streets until it started. My aunt had told me about an amazing window display, I seen that. A restaurant that has been closed for renovations all summer is now open! Guess I need to wander more often. Got free popcorn from the Shriners set up on a sidewalk downtown. Pear cider from another booth. Bought some dog treats from the Barkery Bakehouse. A lady was walking around handing out snowflake sugar cookies! It's just a really festive time! Didn't see one person I knew, and that's ok too!

Hoping to get a friend to sign up for the town Christmas light drive with me. You have to register, and it's $1.00. We used to go before Covid.

This sentiment always cracks me up! 

When I was the Recreation Assistant at a Seniors lodge, I worked with a young girl, who was easy going, easy to please, very helpful, and a great volunteer. Whenever we had an event she would ask if I needed her that night. If I said, yes, she always told me; she just had to go home and change into her Party Pants. Makes me smile and think of her!

I hope everyone is digging out their Christmas pants. (Maybe they're stretchy!) I just need to make some caramel corn. It will get done!

I mentioned last post that I was trying to clean up Christmas off my desk. My friend Chrissy says not to cause Christmas challenges are year round! And she's right.... I was just trying to use up the 'stuff' I cut out and had planned to use!! Guess if it doesn't get used I can put it in a Christmas folder to be used during the year!! But really, my desk needs to be tidied, as it looks like Christmas exploded!

Anyhoo, parcels, cards etc. have all been mailed! Have a couple lunch dates next week, my brother will be back the 20th or 22nd. Life is good! Not sure if the Tuck Shop will be closed between Christmas and New Years... guess I'll find out next week! Our Santa Claus parade is this Saturday evening! The Holiday Train went through town today!!

 This was fun! NOT! I never know how long to heat up my 'fluffy stuff!' I'm not sure if it burns or turns color, but after heating 3 times, there is no residual fluffy stuff coming off anymore! Maybe it depends how thick it is!?

That is a HUGE background stamp I bought a few years ago!

I embossed it in gold, and I think it turned out pretty good. Then I needed something to go on it! I die cut a TON of trees before settling on this one! The others were airy/ see through, and they just didn't do it! So will be about half a dozen tree cards for the Tuck Shop!!

I want to give a shout out to one of my favorite Canadian online stores!

Scrap and Stamp! I placed an order and received the wrong color ink. They sent the right one, a self addressed envelope to return the one I didn't want, and included this cute stamp set! 

I am also done cleaning and organizing. For a minute. I have 2 boxes of stuff that the Girl Guides will be excited about!

Telus is supposed to show up this afternoon. My mom has not had a working phone for 2 weeks! This is after we had to get an electrician, too make sure the problem wasn't in the house. It isn't.

In other news, my brother was here! He had some time off between jobs. We did a few chores. He left this morning.

I have been cleaning my crap craft stuff out again!! Almost 2 years in my current craft space, and organizing it so it works for me. Getting there! And the girl guides will be so excited for all the fun stuff for crafts for Christmas!!

Got a new computer too! I am loving it! It's an Acer Aspire all in one. My poor laptop was slowing down, shutting off (on it's own) etc. It was time! Just need to install the keyboard tray under my desk. It's on the list for this week!

I made pretty trash for a couple days. Along with some Keepers! I have had this Mercury Glass acetate for quite a while. I watched a few videos, checked out a lot of sites, then just did a thing!

I blended some colors under the acetate, hoping for some northern lights or something.

My card went to Tina in Slovenia.

 I followed the sketch (loosely)! I did a gelli plate thingy on the left, with a leaf stencil, then I place the stencil over the leaves again, and used Galaxy paste. The leaf was stamped on paper mooshed on the gelli plate, heat embossed, and fussy cut. I used a piece of hoarded Core'dinations paper for the leaves embossing folder, and sanded that. I say hoarded because I have a 3 inch stack, and can never find the right color!!

You still have a day or two to sign up for November! It's great to get cards from all over the world!

Shopping Our Stash SOS507-Franken-card Whatever says Halloween to you! Everything on here is ancient. Except the paper, but it's a year or two old! 

I am a hurtin' unit. That's what my cousin who was in the military used to say!

Mom went to Canasta Thursday. I am happy to say that the gutters are cleaned out until the next major windstorm, and the roof is sprayed for moss! That's up and down the ladder a gazillion times! Oh, and the garden shed is done too!

But wait, there's more! When my brother was here, he raked leaves. in front of the house, and under the big tree in the back. The night he left, we had wind!

 I spent a couple hours yesterday cleaning up after him the wind.

 I covered that pile of leaves last night! I'm hoping Kalen can take them when he comes for the rest of the weed pile! I put them nicely on a tarp!

Today I channeled Paula Bunyan (legendary lumberjack Paul's sister winkwink), and chopped wood for an hour! I am a sucker for punishment. The wood that was delivered last fall has quite BIG chunks in it, and my mother won't burn them! I am trying to clean out one side of the woodshed!

Tomorrow I will chop some more wood, and One Hour Cinnamon Buns are on the list! That's on top of the marathon cleaning I do while she's at church. Some things are better done when she's not home! I have a 1.5 hour time-frame!
