Hello!
We've been having lovely weather! Unseasonably warm! 
I'm not complaining; I'm sure we'll pay!
It was pretty darn cold out this morning; however, the sun is shining!
This is a St. Patrick's Day card I made.
It's already on it's way to the recipient!

 

I have 3 packages of cards, with all their bits & pieces I hope to do today! they are Thank You, Congratulations, Thinking Of You, and Birthday, although they could be whatever I want!
I'll find a good movie on Netflix, and work away!

I finally have an appointment with the surgeon! Next month!
I've been fighting for 6 7 months to get the screws out!! I'm not leaving without a date to do so!

Craft night Friday was a wash! We've been taking turns doing supper and taking it over! Friday we just visited, ate & drank! That's all right too!
I'll be finished my Welcome sign next Friday.....maybe! 

The family reunion on mom's side is scheduled for July. Always a
great time!

Better go! Finishing the laundry, and I should get busy!

Hello!
I made Kalen a card for his new job.

 I sent it this past week with his mail and included a gift card for one of his favorite restaurants. 

The next part of this post is a little out of the ordinary for me!
I've been doing some serious thinking lately. I've been cranky, weepy, emotional. You gf's reading this post, who hang out with me regularly, do not need to offer sympathy or feedback. It's not what I'm looking for!
Sometimes I find myself wondering if I (as one person) can make a difference in the world! The quote "Always be kind" has been on my mind A. LOT!
When we went to Grande Prairie for the concert we spent some time with my cousin.
When we got back to our room after the concert, we encountered this:

It was from my sneaky cousin. In the envelope, was this letter:

Which said:
Go Figure, the only pen I have in the truck is a highlighter.
I hope you had a great time tonight, that you smiled, laughed, maybe even cried a little. Most importantly, I hope you made a memory. When you looked around you, I pray you realized how surrounded you are with love, with friends that mean as much or more than family. I can promise you that they're not chillin' with you for your riches or fame, they are with you for your heart filled with contagious hope, optimism & humor; for your beautiful eyes filled with sparkle, laughter and mischief; for your creativity, your passion, your drive. 
You are infectious, uplifting, kind, insightful and beautiful inside and out. 
I am with you in realizing the world is not all we dreamt it would be....But oh my dear, the gifts God does bless us with are so much better than riches!

Sometimes I get tired; being the planner, event co-ordinator, liner up of stuff to do, trying to get all my peeps to play along!
Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the effort!? I wonder what would happen if I just quit trying to plan, do stuff, get together........... Honestly, some days I just want to scream when you people are uncooperative! But that would be selfish and uncaring............
So I'll just keep on keeping on, and you peeps will play or not.............it's what I do, and according to Crystal, I'm good at it! 
Don't forget, if you don't show up for what we have planned or is going on.......we talk about you! hahahaha
It also makes me think of the quote, 'No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up.' I get annoyed when someone says, 'Oh I should have came.' 
I am never going to beg, or try to talk you into it! I do not have the energy or time! You need to know that whether or not you're participating, I'm doing/ going!
Anyhoo..........

I have to keep being me, even though some days are a chore to get through!

Keeping in the same vein, the kids had a friend over for a Sunday supper.
He was lamenting that when he goes to some of his friends houses he feels awkward, and out of place.
I said, "What do you feel when you come here?"
He said, "Like family."

And that my friends was an enormous compliment! It's what I love to hear! 

Alrighty, I'm done!
I have the rest of the afternoon to find a good movie on Netflix, and make some cards! 
I watched Tomorrowland last week, and made cards! 
I liked it.

The kids had these sent to me at work yesterday!

These are some of the treats I made my peeps!
They had tiny packages of tic tacs in them.

 This was Vanessa's Valentine.

On the inside it says "I'm hooked on you, ya scalliwag!"
In a phone call with Kalen recently; Kalen asked if Harley was trying out for 'favorite son'. I told him "he's doing a good job", as he'd just fixed the command start for my van!
 

This is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp. Captain Hook. She's getting rid of her rubber stamps, so hurry & go check it out!
We've been having way too many laughs at craft night Fridays!
I'm still shoveling snow for the gf who's spending another 6 weeks in Arizona.
Doing maintenance at the farm; don't get me started.
I'm hoping to get all my paperwork together this weekend for taxes.
I've got card bits & pieces all over. St. Patrick's Day, birthday, and a congratulations card. Then I'll have to get right into Easter, as it's early this year.
Going to the movie tonight with the kids & friends. It's The Good Dinosaur! 
Haven't thought about Sunday supper.
Kalen has a job for when he's done college! Pretty stoked for him....I think there's jobs out there despite the oilfield; you just have to look & persevere! He started sending out resumes before Christmas.
Mom calls every week or so to give me the update on her new woodstove she had installed in the wrong corner of the living room!
Doesn't matter that she has to have all the windows open, if she's saving on her heating bill! hahaha
Haven't heard from my surgeons office yet about my foot. 
Signed up to work a casino in April.

Monday is Family Day here in Alberta, so this weekend is doubly special!

Hello!

It's my day of the week off, and I've put together Valentine goodies for the Vet Clinic, the lady that took in Cardi, visited the same. Checked on the gf's house that's away.

Did some paperwork for a friend, and listed oats (for Pete's sake) on Kijiji, went grocery shopping & got the mail!

All that after getting back from Grande Prairie yesterday, and the Johnny Reid concert Saturday night!

I didn't even get to Michael's, can you believe it!?  

Fun was had by all, here's a photo of the motely crew after supper, and before heading across the street to the venue!

 We had a blast!!

My cousin, who broke her arm falling on the ice, was doing her contortionist act to get us some good group photos!

Thought I'd better get this on here before the day was over!

Hopefully it will be done by Sunday!

Better go, will text Vanessa to tell her it's super icy behind her garage. She'll be coming to walk on the treadmill.
