My brother being here for a few weeks has seriously cut into my play time!

On the bright side, a LOT of yard work and little chores (I can't/ won't do) are getting done! And it's a good thing we got all the leaves, branches etc. burned yesterday, as today is a full on blizzard! Hoping it quits before there's a HUGE dump of snow, as I have my volunteer shift at the Tuck Shop in the morning!

My mom's friend has a birthday (84) tomorrow, so I made a Lemon Poppyseed pound cake (with lemon glaze), and will make a pitcher of margaritas; and off we'll go to help her celebrate! Valentine's and her birthday!

My brother is on his way tonight for a lengthy visit!

Our weather's been quite lovely, and it only rained today for a few seconds; not all day like they threatened!

I have been cleaning out craft 'stuff' that I have NEVER used. I have quite a bagful for the Girl Guide Units in our area! They had an ad for craft supplies in a recent paper.  Of course, lots I am sure will get to the next giving bag, it always amazes me how much 'great' stuff I find! If it's not used by the next go through....it's going!

I'm back!

I have made a card channeling my friend Brenda, who makes thee most stunning cards!! Hope I made her proud.  

This was exhausting! Haha! I inked, and blended & stamped & masked & stenciled and colored......Then it had to DRY between all of that. Those glaring dots in the top left corner!? Is my lighting again! I used Inca Gold to stencil with, and it's pretty darn shiny!

I WILL try more of these! I like the way it turned out, and I learned A. LOT!

I have finished my image for the HMFMC!

This is one of those images that confuse me. Is this image for a new baby(?), day care(?), school(?), or life is tough... you're tougher!? It will get a sentiment when I figure it out!

Anyhoo, it's colored, and stuck on a card!

And my lighting is so crappy it looks washed out....I will work on this!

I have had an eventful few days!!

I signed up for the SCT Let's Stamp Together.

I already receive The SCT sampler!

My Let's Stamp Together kit arrived. It consists of  stamps, dies, and a stencil. I did my homework for the class which entailed cutting and die cutting, colored cardstock, finding ink to match the class inks, as I don't have the product, etc, and played along to make 3 lovely cards. Which I have to fix.

My word stamps were faulty.

After the class I emailed SCT to say that my stamps had a problem. I had an email this morning saying a new stamp set is on it's way! And that my friends is great customer service!

Anyhoo, I can fix the cards (put a tag over the sentiments or something).

I made a card...it was a make work project!

It's a LOT of cutting, and layers, AND that makes it a heavy card! 

I had to have a redo, as I cut 8 pieces of cardstock the wrong size! 8 / EIGHT! Good grief!

I made a fun fold (why some of them are called that, I will never know!), and I got the recipe over here!

I needed a card with this sort of message, so tried this out.

There's a vellum dragonfly on the front above the Hello. I made my own envelope as it ends up needing a 6 X5.5, and I tied it with sheer white ribbon.

The cardstock has a sheen IRL!
