It's a Mirror Fold Card, and I found it while browsing Pinterest, and the instructions are here!

It took a while, but I'm happy with how it turned out! I think the recipient will like it too!!

I have had the paper & dies for quite a while, and wanted to use them to do a card for this person.

In other news I made some Father's Day cards for the Tuck Shop where I volunteer.

I am behind with everything I wanted to get done before I left!

My mom has been home for 2 weeks. She caught a cold somewhere!? None of our company was sick....I am going to blame it on Bingo, Canasta or church!

It rained another 1/2 inch this evening! I had no waterfalls coming from the gutters! Had to clean them out in the last torrential rain....last weekend! Did you know there's such a thing as a gutter scoop!? I am this many years old, and just found out about them! Gonna get me one, and one for everyone I know! Actually, I will try to talk my mother into some gutter guards for 2 sides of the house!

Had a shift at the Tuck Shop yesterday, and today I am doing laundry and weeding sporadically, as it keeps raining.

We are close to the Airport, and I can't hear the drag races anymore. Maybe had to cancel because of the rain. It's our Blossom Festival this long weekend.

Right now the sun is shining, and the birds are singing, so I'm going to make another attempt at weeds.....the upside is they are easier to pull if the soil is wet!!

Yardwork, company, extra volunteer shifts at the Tuck Shop!

Monday Vanessa sent me a short video of my grandson in front of a vehicle, going 'It's Heeeer'! The vehicle I ordered May 2022 has arrived! Finally! They thought I'd leave earlier to go north....I am going next month! I said, I've waited a year, another 3 weeks or so will not make a difference!

Been quite hot here! Very noisy; we're getting the light shows and thunder, but very little rain.

Lots to get done before I leave for Alberta. Van will get a good cleaning for sure! I'll probably get it inspected there so it can be sold! I am meeting the next Family Reunion hosts in my travels to drop off all the rebellion bins!! The next reunion will be next year, and all that stuff is taking up precious real estate in the garage!

This is a Brutus Monroe stamp. I got it to make Kalen some note-cards for his Fungi Enthusiasts Group. I have 4 more cut out. With the rain we've been having, I am sure there are a LOT of mushrooms in the forests up the mountains! And a lot of different kinds!

Went to Cranbrook today. It's about an hour away. Lovely drive, dry; poured rain the whole time I was there! The good news is, my brakes work like they should!

In other news, my play clothes...the stuff I wear for yard work is ancient & worn out. I tried shopping in the women's section, but I wanted shorts that were longer than my crotch. Sorry if this is TMI; I haven't shopped forever, and I found the clothes to be lacking...lacking bottom of shorts, lacking bottom of shirts!? I shopped in the men's section. Found perfect comfy shorts with pockets! I'm set!

I also went to the stationary store as I wanted a fine tip white Sharpie. I am not happy with any of my gel pens. I found 250 sheets of 110 weight white cardstock for a really decent price. They were out of white Sharpies.

Larry mowed the wet lawn yesterday..only because it wasn't raining and it should have been mowed before the rain. That's my mom's job. It's a ride on mower, and she can do that. If there's no rain tomorrow, I will clean the weeds out of the garden boxes; that grow weeds really well, but little else!

In other news, we've gone from scorching hot, to rain & cold. LOTS of rain. The mountain pass to the west of us was closed Thursday from a mudslide; they had just redid that highway last year! Our province is flooding, and Alberta is on fire. I told them I'd try to get the rain to go east over the Rocky Mountains!

Took a side trip down to the border yesterday to see what was needed to come back into Canada. The nice guys there told me my passport was fine. Said the US was still asking for proof of vaccine (not a problem) to enter the US until May 11.

I was also going to get my buckets full of gravel for the back patio project while my brother's here, he came back Thursday for a week.  It was pouring rain on that side of town, so I guess my buckets will wait until Wednesday or something.

My aunt & uncle are coming next weekend! Better go! Have a great rest of your weekend!

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - April 2023

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge. So far I am 1 for 3. Sorry US peeps, one (both) of our Postal Services suck! I live 5 miles from the boarder, and my cards aren't making it across! I will have a go of going across the line to mail the next one that goes to the US. I hear it's not a big deal to cross anymore. (Actually, the problem was getting BACK into Canada!)

Anyhoo.....

It is the second of the month, so time to reveal our cards, and who sent what to whom!

These were the options for April.

Last night I made pretty trash...
Nothing I did with this stamped image looked good......today I finished it!

My stash never ceases to amaze me! Who knows where that van stamp came from!? And the cardstock is 'ribbed' like that....only it's flat and smooth!?
