Got back last night!
We did a ton of stuff!
Went to Tortilla Flats.
Alice In Wonderland in 3D.
Sedona.
Shopped til we dropped!
Gigantic Flea Market!
The list goes on!
I'll share pictures another time, but I will show you this!

I got to go to Hobby Lobby!

And JoAnns!

We don't have these stores in Canada!

It was almost the highlight of the trip.....ok, maybe it wasn't!

It was the good times and laughter, lots of laughter!

I DID decide thought that the Canadian Border people have defective scanners!

I sailed through the US going, and coming back!

Canada...not so fun!

I beeped going through the walk through thing.

And almost lit up like a Christmas tree with the hand held device!

I even got so I was taking off my watch, bracelets, necklace, cigarettes & lighter out of my pockets, change, everything, and......... Still......beep, beep, beep!

Then the search!

All right, it was more of a pat down, but sheesh!

I almost wanted to take off my bra and jeans, and I would have if I wasn't afraid of scaring everyone and starting a stampede.

GAWD!

So Canada, you need to get with the program and get your stuff from where ever the US does, cause yours aren't working right!

Party Pants!

After a loooong week at work, and 3.5 hours at my other job today......I'm on holidays for a week!
Technically, I didn't use holiday time, I just took time off!

So I'm packing my Mojito Mix, and my party pants, and heading for the REBA concert in GP, then to Arizona the next day!
My little friend Jade, who's in college, often has a Facebook status about party pants!

I'll talk to you guys when I get home, and I'll try to get creative, cause you can be sure I'm gonna find some 'treasures'!

I'm looking forward to finding a JoAnns, Big Lots, and what ever else I've read about on the US sites!

Cancun/Cameroon

My peeps at the OFH where I work were telling me about the International day of Prayer that they had.
We were doing exercises, which is held in the same room as the Chapel. (Some GUY designed the place, and there's not a lot of room anywhere!)
They told me they prayed for me and the people in Cancun.
Me: "Why would you pray for the people of Cancun?"
D: "We prayed for a lot of people."
Me: "But isn't Cancun just a resort in Mexico?"
D: "You can see where it is, the map is still on the wall there."
Me: "That's a map of Africa."
(Pretty loud gufaws coming from the back of the room by now.)
D: "That's right, and you can see where Cancun is!"
Someone else, (amid all the outright laughter by now!) Said, "Cameroon.....we prayed for the people of Cameroon!"
D: "Cameroon/ Cancun what's the difference."
Me: "An ocean?"
Never a dull moment there!

I gotta show you this, then I gotta get to bed! It's breakfast club at the OFH in the morning, and I have to get up in the middle of the night (at least that's what I tell my peeps) to cook some of them breakfast!

Remember this challenge I told you about?

This is the first picture I took. I hurried home from work, so I could get the pic in the light.

I DIDN'T have SNOWMEN on the back middle card...IDIOT!
Sure glad I discovered that before I uploaded the pic. So I hurried and stuck some foam snow guys on there!
I'd have felt like such a dork!

Anyhoo, thought I'd share...I'm also on the count down to REBA, and our trip to Arizona!
3 sleeps to REBA, and 4 til Arizona, case you care!

I also made an Easter card for my mom, after starting about 3 and deciding they were'nt what I wanted!
And forgot to take a picture!

Green Snowmen!

Actually there was a challenge over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round that I thought I'd participate in!

Thought I'd give it a whirl, but I've checked out some cards over there!
Not a hope in hell of even competing........but my Christmas cards are gonna be done!

Spring Ahead Sunday!

I've already turned most of the clocks ahead.....now it's AFTER 11:00PM, no wonder I'm so tired!

We had company overnight.
Ray's sister & husband came from GP for a sleepover. They were going to a Celebration Of Life today.
There was a mass last night.
I actually went too, an aquaintance lost her husband suddenly last week.

And it was good.....and sad.....and funny.
He was only 52.
The older I get, the younger people seem.

It's a wake up call to, "Gawd, it can happen to anyone!"

It just makes me sad.
I wanna be immortal.
But without the aches and pains, hammer toes, bunions, loss of eyesight, grey hair, and on and on, that goes with getting older!

He was very well liked, and had a lot of friends. There was standing room only, and we stood.

His children are older, and married, but it doesn't make it any easier,  he had 2 small grand daughters that he adored.

It's just one of those things.....You Just Never Know do you?

So keep your family close.

And tell them you love them..........(goofy hats and all!)
And never ever take them for granted!

Sooooo.....

On my home from work tonight.....I saw this!

If you look really close, you will see elk! There were about 20! I get so used to looking in that field and seeing nothing, since the buffalo are gone!

Then the dog put the run on them!

Well, it's her yard! And it's probably been a little boring around here without the buffalo pretending to be chased by her!
All but 7 jumped out, and a really big elk was walking down the road, trying to get the last ones to jump I think! I dunno, I'm not an elk!
They got in there somehow!?

My mom called the other night.
Mom, "Did you know your cousin works at a scrapbooking place in Utah? I was talking to your aunt Betty and she told me this."
Me, "No, I didn't know."
Mom, "I think it's Bunny something."
Me, "Bo Bunny?"
Mom, "I don't think so, I think it started with Bunny, it doesn't matter, I told Betty my daughter probably has shares in that company!"

Hahahaha, everyone's a comedian!

Then the very next day I got some mad money from my mom to spend in Arizona!
The note actually said, "Buy yourself a Score-Pal."
Just because she doesn't scrap, doesn't mean I don't tell her stuff!
She's an enabler! And I LOVE her for it!

But IT IS LOVELY out!

I LOVE clean sheet day....and that's made 100 times better by hanging them outside!

It's darn tropical!

It's 50 degrees F! I changed the thermometer from celcius, and it even SOUNDS warm!

And here I am on here!

I DID do 2 loads of laundry that are out on the line!

I'm supposed to be getting the stuff ready for income tax! And making cards!
But. I. Don't. Feel. Like. It!

OH I'll get to it!

I'm also making rigatoni broccoli bake and meatloaf for supper too!
I had a craving yesterday while grocery shopping! So got all the fixins!

Better get something done!

I've been trying to post for a week!
I.HATE.DIAL.UP.

I'm done the casino! We're working on a new Handi Van for the OFH.

I may be repeating myself here, but if I lived in a city that had a casino, I would SO be working there!
The people, the noise.....and lets not forget the people with the gambling problems!?
Yea, I've been to Vegas a few times, but I'm a cheap gambler....a roll of nickels lasts me quite a while!

Shopped til I dropped in the craft stores!
Spent my gift certificate for Michaels.....only had to pay $12.00 more!
Finally found out what Stickles were!?
Of course I got some!
And I tried them on this card!

Alrighty....so it's night and the lighting is terrible, and you can't really see the Stickles!

Let me tell you why I whipped this card up!

When I go to Arizona, I'm taking a card class!

I know, I know.....all the way to Arizona for a card making class!?

I'm gonna be there anyway, so I'm taking this class!

I follow her blog.

So I whipped up a card to put my money in to send! I DID try to tell her that I would probably be there before my money, and that I was good for it.............

K & P came out last Saturday, and we watched The Golden Compass, and the 6th Harry Potter movie, and ate pizza and drank wine!

I'm trying to decorate at work for St. Patrick's Day, and as soon as I finish my mom's card this weekend I'll show you!

I also have to make my baby...the O/S a birthday card, but as far as I know, he doesn't even have his Valentine card yet!? And I got him a gift certificate for Dairy Queen! What can I say...he likes the wings or chicken strips or something!

I DO have some Christmas cards to show you!

This is a shaker card. It has glitter in the see through part. Very staticy glitter I might add!

This was just a different fold I tried.

And It's melting here! The last week or so has been absolutely gorgeous! And I'm sure we're gonna pay! It's only March, so we could get 4 feet of snow and -40 degrees!
It's a mucky mess out there that's for sure, and I wasn't here when the snow fell off the woodshed.

Cool huh!?
