I hope you had a wonderful Easter!

I had my visit with the surgeon on March 22. As soon as he started saying "We'll talk about it...." I almost cried! I said, the screws have to come out, I can't live with the pain! And I have a very high pain tolerance! My poor foot has been swollen and bruised since the surgery. It's not a happy foot!
He said that they would get a hold of me within a couple weeks, and he'd remove the hardware. Next Tuesday will be 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything.
I'm going to have a local anesthetic. Call me crazy, but if they put me to sleep, he might as well redo the operation like he wants to! That would be the third time, and I just can't!

I forgot to take a picture of the treats I made my peeps and the kids of the bosses at work for Easter until I had them packed up to deliver.

 So again, I was treated to an artful Thank You!

I bought the following on the local Buy, Sell, Trade for $20.

I've been wanting to make my own laundry soap for some time.

You know how it goes; do the research, make a list.....and that's it!

Anyhoo, at my local grocery store the Arm & Hammer, and the Oxi Clean added up to over $20. The lady I bought this from even gave me her grater for the bar soap!

 

The geese are back! I've been hearing them at night, but didn't see them until today!

I'm working on some cards. I'll need one for an 8 year old next week!

I'll show you Kalen's Birthday Card I mailed to him, then you can skip the rest!

I am aware, as Vanessa pointed out; that the 45 is prominent on the front. I used a numbers embossing folder, and that's just how it worked out! He's not even close to that, so hopefully it's not the first thing HE notices!

The kids and I spent Saturday & Sunday in Rainbow Lake helping one of Vanessa's friends get packed up to move home to Manning.
Make the map of Alberta bigger, find the red Highway 35 in Northern Alberta. Manning isn't on it, but is between North Star, and Notikewin. Go north to High Level, then west. They have tons of snow, and it was cold!!

I am finishing laundry and getting ready to go to work.
It's a payroll week, I have an appointment in Peace River this afternoon at 4. My surgeon appointment is tomorrow in Grande Prairie, and Friday is a holiday! I'll getter done!

My friend who's been living the good life in Arizona is on her way home!!
There's a heavy snowfall warning through the Whitecourt area today. They probably won't be home til the weekend sometime!

I feel I've been neglecting you!
I always have good intentions, then something comes up!
I'll show you the cards I have made, and you can get on with your day!
This is a birthday card I made for a friend for the end of February.

 

 These are the Easter cards I made the kids.

Mom got one out of the stash!

You know I make my peeps, the kids of the bosses at work, and a few of my co workers treats for some occasions.

I got to work one day after Valentine's Day to find this on my computer & in my space!

 He was busy with the sticky note pad & stamps!!!!

 Made me smile!

We're not too busy to do the things we want! We make time.
Thursday evening we went to the movie, Norm of the North. 
We thought it was cute!

Last night I ditched craft night to go out for supper with the crafters, and then go to one of the schools to listen to Eva Olsson. She's a 91 year old Holocaust survivor.
She's amazing, and if you ever have the opportunity to see her; go!
She talks about "Hate" and "Bullying".
She talks about not being a bystander, if you see something that bothers you, do something. 
Her attitude made me smile..........she could have come away from that a totally different person, but she chose to forgive, move on, and spread her message!
The slide show is horrifying; Vanessa especially, can't believe that people are that mean & uncaring. The movie "The Woman in Gold" bothered her.
We take for granted what we have, and just can't imagine that happening. 
All because of where we live on the map! 
Pretty sure that can happen anywhere, and Eva's statistics and numbers were just as horrifying!
Her final message was to never take anything for granted, and to tell the people you love that you love them every day!
We all know this, but Eva brings it home with, she never got to say goodbye to her mother, or siblings; no final hugs etc. They were gone.
At the end, the MC said she was sorry there wasn't a bigger crowd to hear Eva speak. Eva said, "That's ok. Those that needed to be here, were."

So; I'm hoping to bake today, laundry's on the go, Vanessa is working, and I always have coffee with her the Saturdays she works.
Might watch a movie, make a card..........that's about it on my agenda for today!
