 I am using pink. Again. The SU embossing folder is called Birds and Swirls, and it's a mottled pink card stock.The die is Prim Poppy from Memory Box, and the sentiment is SU, cut out with an SU punch!

I thought I should get Kalen's Birthday card on here before his birthday tomorrow!

He's a mushroom hunter, and in the past couple weeks attended a mushroom workshop, where he got some to plant in the yard!

My card is made with a Memory Keepers (?) DP. I have used a Tim Holtz tree, the larger mushrooms are Spellbinders, and the gnome and small mushrooms are Lawn Fawn(Garden Gnome)! The sentiment is computer generated!

It's still chilly, but daffodils, hyacinths and things are blooming! Magnolias are ready to Spring into bloom. Been working in the yard. We bought a house with no maintenance landscape. Kalen has put 4 garden boxes in the front. I have been raking and tidying up,  an deciding which shrubs can go. We only need one of each! Hostas at the back by deck are going too. We have such a tiny back yard, we can't tell the dogs to stay out of the 2 foot strip. so it's going!

I am going to Trivia at Wild North Brewery tomorrow night. Emma  is making treats to share, and  Kalen s hosting Trivia for his birthday!

Allsorts Challenge 840 Winter Animals/ Anything Goes

Helen is the host over at Allsorts for the first challenge of 2026. Winter Animals. There is the Anything Goes too!

I used a Penny Black stamp called waddling by.

I guess I am saying that penguins are a Winter Animal. I'm not sure! I have seen the Madagascar movies!! And Mr. Popper and his penguins lived in Minnesota..... It just hit me! I have almost froze to death at the penguin exhibit at the zoo! So yes! They are Winter Animals!! The sentiment is Gina K. 

I needed a birthday card just before Christmas. A friend is having a milestone birthday. This is the inside sentiment. It's from Riley and Company.

My card is bigger than my usual, AND it's a single layer! It's either 5" X 5" or 5.5 X 5.5.  I stenciled my background. Colored the image with Ohuhu markers. The sentiment is from the same set.

It's been raining off and on so I had a bit of a craft hour or two!

I really should be working on my CCC card! Instead I made this birthday card for Kalen! His birthday is April 1st and always sneaks up on me!

It's a Double Z Fold that I found over here!

I found the inspiration on Pinterest (type in fungi). Kalen picks mushrooms. Papers are Photoplay and Doodlebug. Mushrooms are Brutus Monroe, colored with Ohuhu markers and fussy (shudder) cut. Little envelope, and foliage from my LST kits. Snail, Bubble Word Dies, and HB sentiment are SU. Words in bubbles are computer generated. Little mushroom faces are from a Lawn Fawn set. Had to make it fun after last years creation!

As You Like It Favorite: Feminine or Masculine Theme (And Why) I make mostly feminine with flowers, embellishments etc. Guy cards are usually on an as needed basis!

Weather is a bit cold. Not the -30 we had for a stretch last winter, and seriously bit into the cherry crop! I have heard that if it happens this year, the cherry growers will be in trouble! We are -5 during the day, -10-12 at night. Supposed to last all week. I can live with that!

I had lunch with a GF today. The place we were at had peony buds poking through in a flower bed next to the building!

I am delighting in the few minutes daily of extra light!

We Love Stamping March Feminine

I should have more time to play, as I am done the birthday cards and sympathy cards Vanessa wanted. I am not going north until June, but I don't do last minute very well!

I get kits monthly; I turned 3 kits into sympathy cards, as they are harder to make!

 

Each kit usually makes 9, so she should have around 30. I added some out of my sympathy box!

I am getting a lot of mileage out of these flowers & dies I got off a Buy/Sell site. They make a pretty and easy card! I am still making Birthday/Sympathy cards for Vanessa. I also found a small box of these linen cards which are quite nice!

I do have some Spring & Easter cards made. However, I have used kits, and don't feel right entering them in any challenges! You know, not an original idea from my pointed little head! I will work on a few!

I had a busy day in town yesterday. Tuck Shop, appointment, dinner date, then a meeting. At my meeting I learned that they play Scrabble every Thursday at the library. Guess where I'm going next week!?

My lighting is terrible! The green insert in the card is the same color as the green frame on the front! I used a random die to make the dinner plates, after watching Michelle Zindorf make one!

Kalen did get here on Tuesday with his air compressor! I may or may not have bribed him with a pot of stew!? Him & Emma, then stayed to play cards, so I was out snow-blowing after 8 pm! It's dun! We're supposed to get a bunch more....it is what it is!

Took about half a dozen Valentine cards to the Tuck Shop. I have a kit of them half finished on my desk, and I'm making Bryson a card, as he won the Grade 2 You ROCK (Recognition of Character & Kindness) at school for January. Maybe December.

This sentiment always cracks me up! 

When I was the Recreation Assistant at a Seniors lodge, I worked with a young girl, who was easy going, easy to please, very helpful, and a great volunteer. Whenever we had an event she would ask if I needed her that night. If I said, yes, she always told me; she just had to go home and change into her Party Pants. Makes me smile and think of her!

I hope everyone is digging out their Christmas pants. (Maybe they're stretchy!) I just need to make some caramel corn. It will get done!
