Good morning peeps!

There's a full blown blizzard happening outside right now!
Guess I'll just feed the birds, and cats & Shadow, fill the stove, & save the snow blowing for later!

I've decided not to go to Phoenix..........
Ray's brother's getting married on March 22.
It's still winter here people.......we both can't be gone at the same time.
We also got hooked up to town water last fall, and as long as it gets below 0, I worry!
I was talking to Kalen last week; he called from the Walmart parking lot (hahaha), and I said:
"Who can I ask to clean my roof off when it snows, feed the animals, make sure I have water, AND fill the wood furnace?"
He said: "There's lots of people you can ask; but it's a lot to ask."
When did he get so wise?
Ray and his sister are going, I booked their trip!
It's Easter/ Spring break, so they're taking the scenic route!!!

Kalen's also getting an award on Monday.
The little $%#@!
Surely he knows more than 5 days ahead!?
"It's a long way mom, but you can come if you want."
OY!
If he'd give me a couple weeks notice, I'd so be there!
He sails the next day!
Guess I'll just make him a CONGRATULATIONS card!

I got some Happy mail this past week!
A friend of my moms, who we went for coffee with when I was down in August sent some pictures:

Yesterday some friends invited me for lunch;

that's a real treat for me as our office is out of town, and my peeps forget about me!!!

 

This moose is painted on the side of a building just when you come into town......

I was parked there!

 

 

I DID get some cards made this week;

I got my SU goodies I had ordered from the workshop,

so more playing is on the agenda!

Just a note to tell you what's going on in the life of Gail!

I've had a make work kinda day!
It's Family Day here in Alberta, so no work!!! (At least at my paid job!)

It started with me using the electric frying pan the kids got me for Christmas!

 

I had to find a place for it, which led to cleaning out the

Seldom Used Appliance Cupboard!

I tossed about half of the recycled plastic containers!

I think that Pina Colada mix will be used at the first campfire of the season!

Which can't happen too soon!

It was unseasonably warm 2-3 days last week.

Now the parking lot, and all my nicely snowblown paths are skating rinks!

However, I digress.......

 

I then decided I needed to catch up on my scrapbooking the pictures and hand crafted cards people send at Christmas........you know who you are!!!

But, I didn't want to move my coloring off my desk.

I'm on a roll!

Those are Kraftin Kimmie Stamps on the top, and I won Fridays releases!!!

Whooohooooo!

 

 

Anyhoo, I hadn't scrapbooked 2011 yet!

So I did sonething I swore I wouldn't do when I got my craft room.......

I hauled all my stuff to the kitchen table!

Ray had to go to work, he'll never know!

 

I've finished all the chores, had supper,

I had a roast in the slow cooker,

now I'm going to see what's on TV and color some more.......

oh yeah, I've got 2 chalkboard technique cards on the go too!

 

I DID make a card or 2 or 3 this week........here's one!

 

Kept it kinda flat for mailing...............

got the inspiration over here,

and she got it from here!

 

I think my mom might need some more Thank You cards, and I'll be going in June.

We're going to the Amish Auction Sale! AGAIN!

I'd like to tell you I have a dozen pictures of cards or something I've completed.....
but I don't!

I'm not sure where the time goes!
I only know it moves faster as you get older!

I think it's only snowed twice this week!
It's actually been warm, above 0, and the sun has been shining!

Since it's only daylight hours on the weekend for me to watch the birds, I had to take a picture of this yellow one last week to send to a gf!
Ok, it's light when I get home, but only the chickadees, and assorted sparrows & wrens are eating!
First time I'd seen these!

 

He's an Evening Grosbeak!

 

Here are some with a Pine Grosbeak!

 

This owl has been in the pasture 3 out of 5 days last week!

I took several pictures, never sure if he was looking my way......

 

until I downloaded the pics!

Not sure what kind he is, I've sent the picture to the gf!

 

I stayed late 2 nights at work this week.

Phone calls from various gov't and non gov't agencies......

Had dinner with the gf's on Wednesday,

ran to town Friday night while the theatre was open to pick up gift certificates,

and Thursday night I went to a card workshop!

 

It was SU, and the demonstrator showed us some MUST HAVE

new product...hahahaha

I had already sent her an order when the little Spring catalogue came out!

You'll be proud,

I didn't feel the need to add to my order!

Although that embossing folder is quite lovely!!!!

 

I do have a project on the go...

I screwed it up

(READ: I'm not happy with it),

so will have another shot maybe today....

I'm going to make pie later, so we'll see how the card making goes!

 

I've also misplaced a stamp set,

A BIG one!

This might require me to clean up more of the craft room.......

Maybe I just 'think' I bought it!?

OMG, I'm losing my mind!

Maybe I'll start in the stamp binder,

 see if I photocopied the set...

yeah, I'll do that!

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round

I started out making 6, then couldn't get the cut fold right! hahahaha

I think these are gate fold cards!

There are 4 that turned out!

 

I hesitated about putting a sentiment on the front.......

yesnoyesnoyesno.......

I decided NO, and put this on the inside!

 

I thought the word "LOVE" should be there somewhere...

this being February, with Valentines Day & all!

Keeping with the red & white & hearts & flowers!
