Holy Moly the first post in a long while is a Christmas card!
 Thanks for sticking with me!
Our summer is so short; I've been cleaning out the outside sheds, sea can, etc.!
It's been really hot, hot, hot!
Last night I wanted to go to bed about 6:30 pm; instead I made a card!

I've had the stitched topper sitting on my desk for a while.
It was really hard to photograph!

Even the thread I used was metallic.

I'm linking this up over at:

March Challenge over at CCAYR!

WARNING:
This post contains a Christmas Card!

Hello peeps!
You know I like to have my Christmas cards done for the end of November, so I'm playing along over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round!
The challenge for this month is:
"is to create a Christmas themed step card."
This wasn't the step pattern I was looking for, but it worked!
I made 2 of these.

I'm also going to link this up at

Vanessa & I spent the day in PR, getting groceries,
a few things she needs when she moves to Kalens' house in town,
and I got an Ice Maker!
Of COURSE I NEEDED it! hahaha
We have one at work for Happy Hour Friday, and it's the coolest thing!

My family's all at the local hockey game, so I'm going to try & finish the quilt cards that I have started; I also need a birthday card!

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round

WARNING:
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN CHRISTMAS CARDS!

Ha, it's even funnier in summer!

I'm playing along over at CCAYR!
That's how the cards get done people!

"Blue & white no other colours with the exceptions of skin, hair, fur, feathers but try to keep everything else to blue & white only."

I made 6 of these, and they're done inside & out!!
They're flat-ish too, so will not cost a fortune to mail!

I LOVE using navy, and usually silver with it, but this time it's white!
Snowflakes are always classy (classic)!?

I'm also linking this up over at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra!

Happiness is not a matter of fortune or wordly possessions. It is a mental attitude.

WARNING:
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN CHRISTMAS CARDS!

Hello everyone!
Suprise, it's not 2-3 weeks since the last post!

I've been hanging out lurking over at the OUTLAWZ......
Hoping to find my friend Sheree, who I swear fell off the face of the Earth!

Anyhoo, they seem like a fun bunch, so I did one of their challenges.

My embossing powder's really glittery IRL!
And look, the plaid is even lined up on the sides,
and that my friends is a total accident!!

I'm also going to link this up over at

Hello new followers!
Not sure if you'll learn anything here, but you might get a laugh or two!

Go play people......

A lot of the problems in this world would disappear if we would talk to each other instead of about each other.

WARNING:

Great start to the year!

Happy New Year!

I KNOW I'm behind!
Had a wonderful 2 weeks with the kids!

Did lots, ate lots, laughed lots, that's all that matters!
And the average temperature was.......

Are you suprised!?
And the roads were like this:

Anyhoo,
I'm trying to get back into the swing of things,
or at least back to "ME" time.
I managed to put together 8 of these!

Doesn't matter that they are a kit from SU!
I put my own spin on things...and the lovely red pearls.......
cover up some schmears from my stamp,
which stamped horribly BTW (every time)!
So no, I don't think it was me!!
I'll have to fix that!
They are finished inside & out, and will go in the box for Christmas 2014!

I'm linking these up over at

and

Go play, it's never too early to start on your Christmas cards!

October Challenge over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round!

WARNING:
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN CHRISTMAS CARDS

Hello everyone, it's challenge time once again. With Christmas not too far off now it's time to really start thinking about those Christmas cards.

So... this month our challenge theme is:

This can be anything associated with the preparations for Christmas - presents, baking, Christmas lights, trimming the tree etc.

For something a little different this month we will have two challenges running at the same time.
The first challenge will be a single card challenge and we will be drawing a random prize winner and our top three from here.

The second challenge will be for those who make a set of five cards.
You may make five cards the same or five different ones, you just need to upload a photo clearly showing five.
Now you can enter both challenges but you cannot enter one of your five cards in the single entry challenge. (To enter the single entry challenge your card must be different from the other five.)

I've played along!
First, my single card....
It depicts Christmas Carols, which are played constantly on the radio while I'm decorating!
I used a copper color that doesn't show up very well for the tag & snowflakes.
I really like the look! I'll be making more of these!

My 5 (6) set of cards!
They're all about the decorations!

I'll also be linking these up over at:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hope you're all well!

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round

WARNING:
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN CHRISTMAS CARDS!

Oh SIGH!

I like to play along over at CCAYR!

The challenge for September is
Christmas Fairies with a Little Sparkle.

I'm not a 'fairy' person people!
The design team samples are gorgeous, and so are the entries.........

I HAD to play, I like my Christmas cards to be done in a timely manner!
I don't like the last minute scramble!

Here's my contribution.

What can I say, she has wings!
It's a Bugaboo image! (I have a lot of them!)

Then I found this stamp set, and got right to work!

I then realized it's an angel not a fairy..............
So feel free to disqualify me..............
I have 2 more cards for the stash!

It's lovely here today, going to finish the windows!

Oh Yeah, I'm also going to link this up at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra!

And darn it, you can't see that the background embossed piece is silver!

Then cause the outside was so purdy, I thought I should step up the inside!

Sparkle & Bling

Create a card with lots of sparkle and bling. This can be dimantes, glitter, pearls so long as there is lots of sparkle.

That's the March challenge over at

I've been a card makin machine lately!
For some reason, this shiny peel off thingy has been on my desk forever!
Maybe because it was the only one left on the sheet!?
I poured the glitter on..................

Trust me; it's really sparkly & glittery IRL!

The gold paper has it's own glitter going on that isn't showing up!

Found another sheet of these peel off things, so will turn them into cards too!
This week............

Hope you're well!

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round

Warning: This post may contain Christmas cards!

Over at CCAYR this month,
the challenge is:

Hearts & Flowers Red & White.
Seeing this is Valentine's month we want to see a red and white Christmas card incorporating hearts and flowers.

Here's mine.......

I started out making 6, then couldn't get the cut fold right! hahahaha
I think these are gate fold cards!
There are 4 that turned out!

I hesitated about putting a sentiment on the front.......
yesnoyesnoyesno.......
I decided NO, and put this on the inside!

I thought the word "LOVE" should be there somewhere...
this being February, with Valentines Day & all!
Keeping with the red & white & hearts & flowers!

Enjoy!
Welcome Amy!
You probably won't learn anything here, but you might get a laugh or 2!

Christmas Cards All Year 'Round

WARNING: This post may contain Christmas Cards!

June Challenge

Another month has come and gone and it's once again time for another challenge.

This month our theme is:

TWINKLE-TWINKLE Christmas Lights

Multi-colored or clear, embossed or bling, strings or singles, vintage or new, bright or dull, broken or whole ...inspriation is limitless! Make it electric and fun.

Alrighty, another challenge done!
Doesn't matter that all I could find was these Christmas light charms!
Seriously!
With all the crap craft stuff I have you think I could do better!

Anyhoo:

Aaannnddd of course the light is sticking straight out!

Let me tell you a little about the word 'JOYFUL"!
I made 6 of these cards;
the "joyful' is a die.......
stay with me here......
Probably the 6th time I blew 'fluff' off of my card before glueing down the letters,
I was anything but JOYFUL!
Ahh well, I only lost one dot over the j and a y!

CCAYR May Challenge

The Challenge this month over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round:

We would like you to create a card inspired by your favourite Christmas carol or song. When posting your card on your blog, please mention the carol or song that has inspired your creation.

Here's mine!

The song is pretty self explanatory!

I think I must have a contest going with my friend Theresa!
I made 6 cards, "Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly" and decided there wasn't a bough of holly to be seen, so this was the second attempt!
Half way through these 6, I realize that the 'boughs' I was using sure weren't holly!
After a frantic look through the Christmas paper........
believe it or not, the triangle rectangle of red at the bottom is HOLLY!
OMG! You'd think this was my first rodeo!
Fa-la-la-la-la...............

There's still time for you to get in on the challenge!

Have a great long weekend peeps!
Monday's Victoria Day here in Canada!

March Challenge CCAYR

Happy Spring!
We are combining spring, Saint Patrick's Day and Christmas in your challenge this month!!
GREEN!! and TWO different green patterned paper!
That's right - make the main color on your card GREEN!

Here are mine!

I made my usual 6 cards.....hey, you have to cut a piece of cardstock in half for 2 cards, so I make 6 instead of 5!

I'm a little disappointed!
Making 6 cards a month kept me on track to have my cards done before the big panic in December.

Hopefully I keep this up, and don't get lazy.......
I'd be cranky if I only had 11 cards made by December!

Ah well, it was a great motivator while it lasted!

Talk to ya later!
I see the new challenge is up at Craft A Scene.......
gotta check it out before my friend Sheree gets on my case!

Ta ta for now!
