It's cooler here! We woke up to snow yesterday, but was gone by dark!

The leaf clean up will have to wait until it's dry!

Apparently I will be coming out of retirement in the home DIY department! My boy asked if I could paint a room for him. I guess he will put his house on the market this Spring sometime! It's a tiny house with a tiny yard; good enough for a single guy, retired couple etc. Emma has moved in, so that's 2 people, 2 dogs and a cat! They just want something bigger. I will go look at the room on Wednesday. He just wants it a generic white. Pretty sure the ceiling will need painted then, and I guess the closet is blue, as it didn't get painted last time!?

Such is life! If you've followed me for any length of time, you know I can do pretty much anything. I just don't want to! Hahaha! Usually I just pay to have it done now. For my boy, I will paint a room!

I should have more time to play, as I am done the birthday cards and sympathy cards Vanessa wanted. I am not going north until June, but I don't do last minute very well!

I get kits monthly; I turned 3 kits into sympathy cards, as they are harder to make!

 

Each kit usually makes 9, so she should have around 30. I added some out of my sympathy box!

The weather has been lovely! We have been cleaning the yard; raking leaves and burning them. I am shirking my duties today as the leaf burner. After Sundays fiasco...I am scared! I pushed over a dead tree in the yard. Really! It was rotten, soaking wet, and it just went over! The soggy stump caught fire when I was burning leaves Sunday! I have no clue how that happened! Well of course it was a spark, but honestly, as I am trying to rip the piece off that's smoldering and throw it in the fire, it just keeps shredding, as it's so wet and rotten! Got my heart rate up for sure!!! My brother brought me a hose and a pail of water today. I said, all the smoke and embers are going towards the old dried out forest, and I don't feel comfortable burning!

Anyhoo, I am in, and after I share this card with you, I will get dinner ready! I am BBQing, so I should be forgiven!

I've picked up groceries today, bought a pair of comfy slip on running/walking shoes, and tomorrow I have an appointment to get my summer tires on. Which may not be wise, as our weather is supposed to get yucky with snow and rain in the mix, and cooler temps by Friday! But hey, after Thursday I will not be going anywhere until next Wednesday!

I used a B I G stamp for this card! Stamped it crooked, so used a die! It's colored with sparkle gel pens, and plain ones! I schmeered the greeting, so stuck on a vellum butterfly!

I have this for you today!

 

I had a terrible time cutting out the word die.

I won this foil like stuff years ago from Spellbinders. It's thicker than aluminum foil. It doesn't punch out cleanly! It took longer to punch it out than to make the card! The die cuts cleanly. 

Anyhoo...It's on a piece that was on the geli plate. That's another thing I have trouble with! My brayer(s) seem to just drag; not roll smoothly! Pretty sure it's user error, but I could use some advice!

This was then stenciled with Galaxy paste. It's sparkly IRL!

 

 

 First world problems! Sorry to sound like a whiner today!

Hope you were all treated right yesterday for International Women's Day. Larry and I played musical sump pumps. Knock on wood, they seem to be working just fine!! Our aunt came over; played cards with mom; then Larry took her and I to the pot shop on the reservation. To buy cigarettes. The guy asked, if we were into edibles. My aunt said, no, just these, and held up her cigarettes. Nothing but fun and games around here!! First time I was ever in a Cannabis Store. Same with my aunt. I browsed. They have lollipops, tea, you know.....for future reference. Hahahaha

 

Now I'm going to get dinner ready, as Kalen & Emma, and Emmas mom Marg are coming! It feels like a baked spaghetti kind of day!!

I am getting a lot of mileage out of these flowers & dies I got off a Buy/Sell site. They make a pretty and easy card! I am still making Birthday/Sympathy cards for Vanessa. I also found a small box of these linen cards which are quite nice!

I do have some Spring & Easter cards made. However, I have used kits, and don't feel right entering them in any challenges! You know, not an original idea from my pointed little head! I will work on a few!

I had a busy day in town yesterday. Tuck Shop, appointment, dinner date, then a meeting. At my meeting I learned that they play Scrabble every Thursday at the library. Guess where I'm going next week!?

I made this. It was fun, and I was leery about the fold, but it works!

I know it's sideways, but that's it closed!

It's a square Diagonal Trifold Card, I found over here!

My lighting is terrible! The green insert in the card is the same color as the green frame on the front! I used a random die to make the dinner plates, after watching Michelle Zindorf make one!

March came in yesterday like a LION! Blizzarding, hurricane force winds. Then I went to town. Warm,  melting, water running! It's about 12 kms!

Today, snow; big fat flakes! Cooler. No wind though!

The poor aconites have been trying to  come up for 2 weeks!

I am so ready for nicer weather!

Vanessa needs birthday, and sympathy cards. She's at a funeral today. Am working on a box of cards for her. I told her she could use her Thinking of You cards for any occasion.
