Craft a Scene - Trees, Trees, Trees

This month our theme is "Trees, Trees, Trees". This means you should create a stamped or digi'd scene that shows us a lot of trees. Pretty simple, right?

 

Well, I only did one tree, but I really like how it turned out.

Of course it looks better IRL!

Craft a Scene September Theme - "Dusk to Dawn"

Our theme for the month of September is "Dusk to Dawn". OK, so this means we want to see night time scenes. In other words, no sunshine. 

I'm playing along (before it's too late) over Craft a Scene.

This is what it looks like at my house when the sun goes down!

 

This card is already on it's way as a sympathy card.

May Theme - Ships in the Night

Our theme for the month of May is "Ships in the Night". The inspiration for this challenge comes from the Longfellow poem Tales of a Wayside Inn:

Ships that pass in the night and speak each other in passing; Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness; So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another, Only a look and a voice; then darkness again and a silence.

So this month you will want to create a scene with at least one ship/boat and your project should have an evening cast to it - basically dusk to dawn.

 

 

Well, I have a 'cast' of something!

I took about 1/2 a dozen photos, and couldn't get rid of the glare!

And I am THEE. WORLDS. WORST. BRAYER!!!

 

Good thing my kid's in the Navy; these "SHIP" cards are a big hit with him & his friends!

 

 

I wanted to add a sentiment, but I'll wait until I need it for something!

For the month of February, our challenge is to let our light shine! Your project must have a lighthouse as the main image. Please also tell us how you are letting your light shine this month with your project.

Craft a Scene/September Challenge

Our theme this month is Trees, Trees, Trees. So what does that mean, you ask? Well, we expect to see at least three trees stamped on your finished project.
We are looking for stamped or digi scenes that are finished projects (no ATC's or unmounted work).

Pretty sure I'm cutting it close, but I tried!

 

 

I even played with Flower Soft, I think I like the MS flocking stuff better, unless someone has a secret they're willing to share about how NOT to get Flower Soft all over!

In The Garden

This month our challenge is to create a scene from "inside the garden".

We are looking for stamped or digi scenes that are finished projects (no ATC's or unmounted work). Cute cards with a few added flowers will not be accepted -we need to see your scenic talents!

Craft A Scene-May Challenge

You know April showers bring May flowers and since it is finally May the challenge is 'Spring Flowers'. 
You may use any company's products as long as you complete a card, tag or other type of finished project and it must include background and foreground elements to the scene. We will not accept projects with just a character and a flower - it must be a scene!

Here is mine:

It's kind of a crappy picture, but was the best out of 4!
I'm never sure if I'm in compliance of the rules when I see other pictures.
Hopefully someone would tell me (in a nice way) if  I've totally missed the mark!

Craft A Scene Challenge # 4

Our April challenge is all about silhouettes. Believe me, I needed a dictionary to help spell that word. What is a silhouette you ask? According to Merriam-Webster a silhouette is "a likeness cut from dark material and mounted on a light background or one sketched in outline and solidly colored in."

I really enjoyed making this card for Craft A Scene!
I need to thank my friend Carol from CraftinGranny's Card Shack for sending me here to get a cloud template.
Hope I did that right!
I still need to practice, my clouds look more like storm clouds than the fluffy white clouds in a BLUE sky, I think I might have got the wrong Ice Blue; but I'll keep trying!

Craft a Scene- February Challenge

Craft a Scene: Challenge # 2

Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to create a winter scene with scenic stamps. If you are not sure what we mean by scenic stamps you can check out our new tab "Scenic Stamps" where we have listed several companies with links to their stores. These are not the only companies to use, but it is a good representation of what we are looking for.

I tried..........really tried this time!!!

Let me tell you these challenges are work!

WORK I tell ya!

And the darn picture's crooked! Aaarrggghhhhh!

Who knew I don't have great inks, or styluses, or any knowledge whatsoever on how to make a scene!

Well, on paper anyhoo!!!

Who knew you could get so stressed out over a tiny piece of paper!?!

Glossy no less!

Tip I learned....fabric paint should not be used over inks!

My white picked up the colors of the rocks and the cabin!

Ah well, I got a month to rest up....NOT!

Gonna practice Making a Scene! (On paper!)

I'm happy to say I'm done....until the next House Mouse challenge, which I think is Monday!

I'm not sure how long I can keep this pace up!
