Happy Halloween 2023

 Hello!

Hope you are well!

Just have 2 more Halloween cards to share, and yes I do know Halloween is over in some parts of blogworld!

And Brysons card!

I got the instructions over here! I had trouble lining up the front panel, so just put the spiders there!

The back is a scrapbook page! Perfect for sentiments etc.

I would like toenter the first card over at;

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #218 Fall Picnics/ well these ghouls could be on their way to a picnic! I have yellow, green, blue and white! The stamp is called Witch Shoes and is Stampendous 2006. The sentiment is Craft Smart 2010

“Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process.” – Anne Wilson Schaef

Hello!

Hope you're all well!

Here come the Halloween cards!

I'd hate to run out of time this month to show you!

I made 3 of these! New toys! Actually I got the Spellbinders dies Let's be Frank, and had to play!!

My friend Carol. Her favorite color is purple!

This next one went to my cousin.

This is my moms!

 These were great fun!

I am linking them up at:

“Every now and then I like to do as I’m told, just to confuse people.” Tamora Pierce

I have made my Halloween cards.

I can (sort of) sit at my desk.

Have to ease into the knee bending part!

Yesterday I made a Christmas card, you'll have to wait for that one!

Bryson's

Kalen's

These 2 were an easy fun fold I found here!

Vanessa & Harley's

That one was going to be Bryson's, but my pumpkins were scary!

Mom's

There!

Hopefully I have a couple in the drawer for the aunts, as that's where we are going for supper tonight! I made my famous double layer pumpkin pie! You can find the recipe here!

I AM going to work tomorrow.

Going to see how I make out. I will still be hooked up at home in case I can't sit.

We went out last night for a turkey dinner at a pub. It was cold, but I ate everything cause I was starving!

We have had 9 viewings for our property. I think the drawback is that it's only a 2 bedroom, so we miss out on the families wanting to have a couple acres. We need a semi retired couple, or younger retired couple who want to putter!

I also filled out a survey for our Wildlife Centre here.

I won a painting (my choice) from portrait painters! Guess it will have to be Bryson! I will contact them this week!

Better go, talk to ya later!

Stay safe!

And all at once, summer collapsed into fall. Oscar Wilde

 Happy Halloween!

There is no end to the 'stuff' that needs done.

I'll show you the cards I've made, and you can get on with your day!

This is Kalen's card!

This is Vanessa & Harley's!

Mom must have got one out of the drawer!

This next card was sent to me by a dear friend! She didn't even write in it, so I could use it if I wanted. I'm keeping it, I know the work that went into it!

Bryson's birthday card, and Halloween card are in previous posts!

Here's his cake!

He's 4 already!

Vanessa's friend Sarah had a baby. She's the one I drank with on Wine Wednesday before I moved!

Baby Card

Brother & Sister cards

Picture heavy coming up!

The petunia tree got hauled to the compost.

Not sure if we're putting lights on the frame to make it a Christmas tree!

Shelves got built in the garden/horse shed.

We don't have horses, so it's a garden shed!

The pots off the petunia tree are on the shelves. It doesn't get really cold here, but I wanted them out of the way so they wouldn't get kicked or bumped & break!

I dried my own tomato seeds, as my favorite tomatoes are not always available.

I'll let you know if it worked!

Moms sidewalks got painted.

Not all of them, but the front and side where her woodshed is.

This is right after I painted the 'caution strips' for the little steps that are there! She kept trying to send me home, "I know the steps are there!'

It has a bit of grit in it.

Will probably still be slippery if they ice up; however, maybe it will help!

My front entry got a facelift!

It was an unheated dingy space.

This is with a coat of primer.

Primrose Path, is the paint color.

I just couldn't do BIG BUS YELLOW!

The floors, and door will get a makeover in the spring. I have the flooring and trim, but it's too cold.

I need it to be warm for a few more days so I can get plastic up on the windows to get rid of the condensation! The windows in there are original from the house, circa 1940.

I have made body scrub with some of Kalens lavender.

These have been distributed to my friends that offered to be guinea pigs/try it out!

The ugly pinky orange closet in my living room also got a facelift.

I forgot to take an after; it's filled.

It does have a curtain, as it's the seldom used appliance closet, linen closet, snack closet etc!

It's walnut season.

The ground has been raked, and late yesterday afternoon when I got tired of raking, I fired up the tractor, as it still has the mower on, and mulched the rest of the leaves!

There's still lot of walnuts on the trees!

This Pileated Woodpecker spent a long time one day eating bugs out of the stump that's left from when the tree fell down last year.

I was going to throw all the dead chunks he tossed out into the firepit.

Kalen said, 'where will the bugs live?'

So I tossed them back under the stump!

There you have the condensed version...REALLY!

Going to pick walnuts, I really should go grocery shopping; I hate it anymore.

Laundry, yard work, the usual!

Stay safe my friends!

Wash your hands...talk to ya later!

Sometimes later becomes never. Do it now.

Hello!

This will probably be picture heavy!
I really need to be on here more!

Kalen just left for his next 10  on 10 off!
We got a lot accomplished!
He also planted a bunch of seedlings, made different types of compost, tried to fix a hydrant in the back 40. Water is off to the back, it will have to wait for his next days off!

We got snow & cold on the darn weekend!
I have turned into a wuss! It's too early!
I have joined Tai Chi!
I love it!
I leave work early on Wednesdays!
I tried to get mom to join, as it's good for balance etc.
She wouldn't!

Kalen's Halloween card.

 Vanessa & Harley's card.

Mom got one I made last fall when I went to the scrapbook retreat!

My aunt makes quilts for people with cancer.
I make her cards to include. They're blank on the inside.
I got some new quilt dies, so should have a ton whipped up in a short time!

We'll start with 4 because she likes Christmas cards that say Merry Christmas, and she says you can't buy them.
Making her some Christmas cards is next on the list!

We had a big windstorm that knocked the walnuts out of the tree.
Then the leaves fell off, and I played a game similar to where's Waldo!
Haha!
Of course ALL the leaves didn't fall off, I had to do this twice!
Only because it kept raining, and the walnuts were trying to get moldy under the leaves!
But anyhoo, the yardwork is slowly getting done.
It was a lot warmer this time last year!

I am happy to report that the sump pump has been installed, and I am loving turning up the thermostat for heat!
Washer & dryer are working fabulously in the basement!

We wrapped the cedars one chilly afternoon.
The deer will have to eat someone else's this winter!
I guess you can't really see it!
It's a plastic mesh that's 7 ft tall, the deer can't get their noses in.
We had 4 different sections to wrap!

I'd better go.
Kalen left this morning so bedding needs washed, and my floors really need a vacuum & wash!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough.~Mario Andretti

Hello!
I am doing my best!

I am in the process of making supper for the commune, my mom, and her friend Dorothy.
It's pizza night, and I made the one hour cinnamon rolls!

This is what my hat looks like after pruning 15-17 fruit trees in the yard.
There's still 5-6 in the back 40; they will have to wait for Spring!

This house has issues, but I'm up for the challenge!
My nights are quieter, think I've (knock on wood) won the rodent battle!
No one's lived here for years.
I spent yesterday replacing insulation in the basement.
It was dirty, crammed in where ever; and we know insulation looses its R value when it's packed in!
It's fluffed and lovely in one small section. OI!
Don't judge! Took hours!
I filled holes, and don't think anything I vacuumed up was recent!

This was our redneck fix for the ramps (came with the house) that ice up when wet.
I'll get a runner for the flat part, when I go to town tomorrow.
Need to go to the library to print some stuff.
I NEED a new printer! It's really only printing what, and when it wants!
Also had my prescriptions refilled here.
Picked them up on Saturday when we checked out the Marketplace; that's people who have home based businesses, and the Craft sale at the Seniors Centre.
The pills for one prescription are not the same as I've been taking.
Going to ask why!

Making a list for some handy guy.
I have limits! Haha
I have a slow leak at an outside tap.
Need spray foam sprayed in one section of the basement. I am NOT a good spray foamer.
Need a deadbolt installed.
One plug in the kitchen doesn't work.
Need a 100 pound mirror hung......
There's a list!

2 weeks after I got here, I went to Calgary to a Scrapbook crop!
I'm a card maker mostly; I had a blast!
Lovely time, fun was had by all!
First time I'd ever been!
Sorry; I'm going to show you some of the Halloween cards I made there!

I DID make Christmas card fronts too!

I had a lot of kits, and I cut out dies I didn't have on the big shot!
Also cut out stuff for my friends!
It really was a good time, and I'd go again!

On a sad note, I missed Bryson's second birthday:

And going Trick or Treating with Sully, from Monsters Inc.
I didn't even dress up(horrors)!
I have NOT seen a child in this neighborhood, and no school bus goes by.
Had no children; that's why you buy Halloween treats you like! haha

We face time at least once a week.
He's coming to 'bisit' and stay for 2 sleeps!
Haha

Better go, cut my stuff up for the pizzas!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!
