Happy Fall Y'all!

Not that I made a fall card!

I'm playing along at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.

Challenge #375 is Anything goes, with the option of Water!

This will also work over at

Krafty Chicks Challenge # 361: Anything Goes

Talk to ya later!

Acts of kindness ripple through the world.

 Good day!

Thought I should stop by to say HI!

I have been making cards for 'orders'! Who knew!

My latest 'order' is for Grad cards! Thank goodness they're not needed until June!

I did make 2 baby cards for nieces, that had babies a month or so apart.

The sisters had a boy and a girl!

I'm out of practice with baby cards!

We have been trying to get to moms twice a week!

To take her a meal!

We were there Valentine's Day, and I guess because it was a short week......

I have been busy at work.

I also broke a tooth on Thursday, I have until Monday morning at 9 to not lose it! I don't know what I'll do! I had thought they'd try to squeeze me in, and come up for a plan by Monday....

We had another hydrant in the yard start leaking. Good thing Kalen does his daily walk around the yard. He heard it hissing. He replaced one last year. I said we don't know how old they are, maybe we should just replace one a year. There are 4 all together.

I m still looking for 6-7" cute chandeliers for the front and back entry!

Just cause this old house could use some class!

I have been receiving craft kits I have signed up for this year, and what a ton of fun stuff!

I'd better go, The raccoons were in the bird feeders, and I need to fill them!

Have a great day!

Talk to ya later!

Wash your hands and stay safe!

And all at once, summer collapsed into fall. Oscar Wilde

 Happy Halloween!

There is no end to the 'stuff' that needs done.

I'll show you the cards I've made, and you can get on with your day!

This is Kalen's card!

This is Vanessa & Harley's!

Mom must have got one out of the drawer!

This next card was sent to me by a dear friend! She didn't even write in it, so I could use it if I wanted. I'm keeping it, I know the work that went into it!

Bryson's birthday card, and Halloween card are in previous posts!

Here's his cake!

He's 4 already!

Vanessa's friend Sarah had a baby. She's the one I drank with on Wine Wednesday before I moved!

Baby Card

Brother & Sister cards

Picture heavy coming up!

The petunia tree got hauled to the compost.

Not sure if we're putting lights on the frame to make it a Christmas tree!

Shelves got built in the garden/horse shed.

We don't have horses, so it's a garden shed!

The pots off the petunia tree are on the shelves. It doesn't get really cold here, but I wanted them out of the way so they wouldn't get kicked or bumped & break!

I dried my own tomato seeds, as my favorite tomatoes are not always available.

I'll let you know if it worked!

Moms sidewalks got painted.

Not all of them, but the front and side where her woodshed is.

This is right after I painted the 'caution strips' for the little steps that are there! She kept trying to send me home, "I know the steps are there!'

It has a bit of grit in it.

Will probably still be slippery if they ice up; however, maybe it will help!

My front entry got a facelift!

It was an unheated dingy space.

This is with a coat of primer.

Primrose Path, is the paint color.

I just couldn't do BIG BUS YELLOW!

The floors, and door will get a makeover in the spring. I have the flooring and trim, but it's too cold.

I need it to be warm for a few more days so I can get plastic up on the windows to get rid of the condensation! The windows in there are original from the house, circa 1940.

I have made body scrub with some of Kalens lavender.

These have been distributed to my friends that offered to be guinea pigs/try it out!

The ugly pinky orange closet in my living room also got a facelift.

I forgot to take an after; it's filled.

It does have a curtain, as it's the seldom used appliance closet, linen closet, snack closet etc!

It's walnut season.

The ground has been raked, and late yesterday afternoon when I got tired of raking, I fired up the tractor, as it still has the mower on, and mulched the rest of the leaves!

There's still lot of walnuts on the trees!

This Pileated Woodpecker spent a long time one day eating bugs out of the stump that's left from when the tree fell down last year.

I was going to throw all the dead chunks he tossed out into the firepit.

Kalen said, 'where will the bugs live?'

So I tossed them back under the stump!

There you have the condensed version...REALLY!

Going to pick walnuts, I really should go grocery shopping; I hate it anymore.

Laundry, yard work, the usual!

Stay safe my friends!

Wash your hands...talk to ya later!

You don't have to go fast. You just have to go.

Alrighty then!
If any of you are still around, I fell off the blogging wagon again!

This little person takes up a lot of my time!
He's 19 months old.
He's a busy little guy, and I'm still working, so we spend as much time together as we can!
He's my personal yoga trainer, an awesome mimic; yesterday he said 'What the heck!'
He helps bake, clean, I pick him him up 2 weeks out of the month from day care, I spend a lot of time in his backyard, as he loves the outdoors. Listens for birds, puppies and helicopters!
Anyhoo, we're going to see some horses today after his nap
(e i e i o) haha!

Since I am packing to go to The Amish Auction sale in Montana with my mom next Saturday, thought I'd better get on here!

Kalen's girlfriend Megan had a birthday in May!
This was the card she got.
I asked Kalen for her favorite colors, he said purple, orange & green.
I said Halloween colors!
She got purple!

Bryson & I made his mom a card for Mother's Day!

It's about 3 feet long. She loved it!

This next one was Vanessa's birthday card.
Don't forget, it has to be blue and have a dragonfly!
I went with a shaker card!

I watched Bryson on her birthday so her & her husband could spend a day away!
Bryson & I made her Death By Chocolate, which they didn't find in their fridge until almost 11pm; we had it the next day!
This is the picture I sent her about 9pm that night, assuring her everything was under control!
I made one of Vanessa's friends a baby card.
She wasn't due until yesterday, but had her baby in May!
Good thing the card was done!

That brings me to the latest attempt at getting creative with an uncooperative little person!
This is for Bryson's dad for Father's Day!
He's just like his mother in that anything on his hands & feet is 'yucky' and he sure didn't want the paint on them!!!
I did the hand print on the canvas the same time I did the ones for his mom's card!
I am catching on!
Still we have blurry feet!
This was plan B, as printing the poem on vellum, and trying to mod podge it onto the canvas didn't work!
It's in a scrapbook page frame, and turned out all right!
Also, it has 4 raised elements as the distress inks I used on the canvas didn't want to dry, and I needed this done and off my list yesterday, as I'll only be getting home from visiting with my mom on Father's Day!!

So there you have the latest condensed version about what's going on.
I'll let you know if I get anything amazing at the Auction!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

Excited!

It's been quite the past 2 weeks!
There's this thing called life!
Meet Bryson David.
Born October 22, 2016 at 1:51 pm, emergency cesarean.
7.9 lbs. 19.5"

 He's pretty special.
As he was here for Halloween, he had to play along!

I watched him for an hour one afternoon.
Apparently I'm boring!
His uncle Kalen is coming this weekend to meet him.
Vanessa & I did a project, that I will show you after this weekend!

In other news, I did get my liqueur bottled!

There were samples, and I must say it turned out amazing!
There's Apple Liqueur & Cherry Brandy. The recipients will have to work for a taste, as the corks went on really tight!

I needed a card, as "meet the baby" is this Sunday!

Just google stair step dresser card, there are lots out there!
I will take this up the alley sometime today.

Mama Mia this Thursday, and Thanks Vanessa for having the baby early, so we could go!

Better run, laundry is on the go, and I need to clean before Thursday! And bake something for Monday supper!
Kalen will be here Friday!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings. --Salvador Dali

Hello peeps!
I tried to blog last night, but nothing cooperated!
And yes, I am at work!

I made Vanessa a baby card for one of her friends!

I procrastinated for quite a while, until I saw this!
The onesie people, the onesie!

Look at this handsome guy!

The bosses kids treats for Valentines.

And what's in them!

I took Ray to his pre op in Grande Prairie yesterday.
Actually we went the night before, as he had to be at the hospital by 7:30 am.
He's scheduled for Hip Replacement surgery February 19.
It was a whirlwind, very informative morning.
The Minister of Health is on my email list!
My mom said on the phone,
"When I'm Prime Minister,
there will be NO paid parking at any health facility; clinic or hospital"!

OMG!
I parked in the middle of the poor excuse for a parkade at the GP hospital.
With a pocket full of change I went to the first Park & Pay Machine to my left.
Don't forget, it's -30+ with a windchill....I am dressed properly!
There's a sign on it that says "Out of Order".
I trot past my vehicle to the one on the right of the parkade, with my pocket full of change.
It has a sign on it that says "Credit Card Only/ No Coin".
Remember, there's 6 inches of snow.
There's another Pay & Park machine in the main lobby, one floor up, and through the middle of the parkade!
I go back to my vehicle, get a credit card, ask the nice guy in front of me if I can take notes,
cause I don't know what I'm doing.
Keep in mind, these are not 'well lit' areas, hard to see the display;
and by now there's a line up, and not everyone is dressed properly!
I liked it better when they had the man in the booth at the entrance!
I felt sorry for any disabled people that have a lovely disabled parking spot close to the entrance (on the lower level), and then have to fool around in the snow & cold,
going from machine to machine trying to find one that works!

And remember this?
My redo surgery is scheduled for February 20.
We're car pooling!
Vanessa's coming!
I will get to leave after mine, Ray has to stay in the hospital until he can do a list of things.....
4-5 days.

Here's some reading for you.....
here and here
Those of you that 'know' me will get it.
Ray & I might make better friends!?

It's blizzarding, and has been since Wednesday night.
-30+ with the windchill.
I haven't gone to town today for the mail!
I'm not leaving until it's home time, and then I might have to shovel myself out!

I am home now, it's still snowing, and it's windy & ugly out!
I'll be walking a few blocks for craft night in an hour or so.

This is the picture I couldn't link up the other day.

I live across from the arena (hockey/ curling).
I looked out my window one evening when we had the January thaw, and saw this in the parking lot!
I thought Holy Moly, it's not THAT warm!
Someone was eager to go boating!

Well, pretty sure you're cross eyed by now, so I'll let you go!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

HMFMC164

Good morning peeps!

I'm going to get this out of the way, then get to my card!!!!
We're still in the deep freeze, as it shows here!!! -38 people, and there's a wind!

Alrighty, the theme over at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge is:

*Anything Goes*

I took this picture cause it didn't really show up.....

I wanted to use silver,
as there's silver on the bottle cap & in the image,
so used a back row of 'tickets'!
Which of course does not show up well,
and I realize now I should have stamped the other 2 tickets in the row with something!sigh

I couldn't find my bow maker (nevermind),
but I had in my stash; packages of these tiny bows from a $$ store!
I think this would work to welcome either a boy or a girl!

I'm also gonna link this up over at
I'm hoping it qualifies for
*Fit for MUM or Special Female*

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!
Ta ta for now!

Every obstacle is an opportunity for an adventure.

Welcome Patti, not sure if you`ll learn anything here, but you might get a laugh or 2!

I've had quite a few emails about the Valentines Card over here, so I'm giving the link again!
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/popupboxcard/

I of course screwed up a few times put my spin on things, so it didn't fit in the envelope it should have, but I have a friend that works at a local store that sells cards, and gave me a whole whack of envelopes! I was able to find one for it!
It's really not as hard or daunting as some of you think!
Hey; if I can do it, you can!

Vanessa's friend had a baby, then surgery, and has a 2 year old; so she's home for 3 weeks cause she needs the help!
Baby card.................

Yes, I know the carriage is on there crooked!
And the square die cut was just laying on my desk begging to be used!

Big brother card.........

We got him a movie, and some Monsters Inc. tattoos!
75 of them to be exact.....Vanessa, "Sarah's going to be busy!"
I found this card on the internet.....
It linked to Pintrest (nope I'm not a pinner!)
But no matter what I clicked on, I couldn't find the original pinner/maker!
So if it's yours please let me know, and Thanks!!

Use your imagination for these next 2 pictures.

There are 2 moose in the forest!
Across the fence last week!

And a woodpecker enjoying the bird feeder!

I went to the movie Monday night with a bunch of peeps.
It was Frozen.
It was great! I`d recommend it!
Thursday night we went to classic movie night,
it was Cat Ballou!
Now that was a blast from the past!
Vanessa figured her & her friend were the youngest ones there!!

In other news; it`s cold here again!
In the -20`s.
But the sun is shinning, so all`s well!

Ray`s having more tests.
He says he feels good, but we`re all in agreement, that something`s `off``!
He had X-rays, blood work, and a CT scan this past week!

Better go & get busy!
Vanessa`s making lasagna for tonight, and I`m making apple pies!
Company`s coming, and it will be a night of fun & games at the Luck house!

Hope you`re all well!
Talk to ya later!
Have a great weekend!
Ta ta for now!

There are moments when everything goes well, but don't be frightened. - Jules Renard

Hello peeps!
How are you on this snowy cold morning!?

I have pictures for you.......of course I do!

Here's bad Shadow coming down the drive way as I come home!

I don't want her on the main road chasing vehicles!

Here's the mutt I put up with at work!
A very scary Buster!

Seriously!?
I must be boring!

Here's the baby card I made for Vanessas' friend!
Outside's great!
On the inside I put,
"SPIT HAPPENS!"
hahahahaha

This is the scarf I made for one of my peeps that didn't get one at Christmas!
The snowman is a kleenex box cover, and she's a hoarder collector of snowmen!
I'm just helping out the cause!

In other news:
it's snowing!
OMG!

I have stew in the slow cooker, bread in the machine, laundry in the washer, dishes are done.
Ray's gone to work.
I am (in 5 minutes) going to get dressed........I.KNOW!
And go out to fill the bird feeders,
water & feed the cats & Shadow,
fill the wood furnace,
and fire up the snow blower!

I have 2 projects on the go on my desk, and I can't find a die I want to use on a card,
so will be digging for that when I come in!
They DO (the dies) have their own spot.....someone must not have put it away!?WTH!
I might have to haul the Christmas paper box back out, maybe it ended up in there!
I've already dug through the garbage!!!!
I need a better system for my stamps, so was working on that before Ray got up.
Also organizing the chipboard letters I have...............
who knew I had so many..............
I see using them on everything in the near future!

Hope you're well!
Have a great weekend!
Talk to ya later!
Ta ta for now!
