House Mouse!

 It was so much fun making the House Mouse (gruffie) card in the last post.

I made another!

This is being entered in  HMFMC # 326!

It's Anything Goes, with the option of FALL!

I tried to put leaves on it, I had all that grey space(literally)!

But it just didn't work.

Pumpkins ARE fall!

This was the best I could do for a picture!

I got home late, and today it has been cold, raining and even tried to snow for a minute!

It's been quite the past 2 weeks!
There's this thing called life!
Meet Bryson David.
Born October 22, 2016 at 1:51 pm, emergency cesarean.
7.9 lbs. 19.5"

 He's pretty special.
As he was here for Halloween, he had to play along!

I watched him for an hour one afternoon.
Apparently I'm boring!

His uncle Kalen is coming this weekend to meet him.
Vanessa & I did a project, that I will show you after this weekend!

In other news, I did get my liqueur bottled! 

 There were samples, and I must say it turned out amazing!
There's Apple Liqueur & Cherry Brandy. The recipients will have to work for a taste, as the corks went on really tight!

I needed a card, as "meet the baby" is this Sunday!

 
 Just google stair step dresser card, there are lots out there!
I will take this up the alley sometime today.

Mama Mia this Thursday, and Thanks Vanessa for having the baby early, so we could go!

Better run, laundry is on the go, and I need to clean before Thursday! And bake something for Monday supper!

Went to Vanessa's again this year, as I'm in a basement suite, and the doorbell doesn't belong to me!
We had over 70 kids again this year!

V is a Facebook junkie, so we were called 'adorable'!
Hahaha, I haven't been 'adorable' since I was a baby! (If then!)
 

Gandalf came to visit, and stayed for supper! (That's why my sleeves are rolled up!)

 We had a lot of fun, and a lot of laughs!

Kalen texted me a couple weeks ago, and said he needed some Christmas cards.
Me: How many?
Kalen: What's the standard order?
Me: Whatever you need. How about a dozen?
Kalen: OK, and I want to pay.
Me: You're my kid, that entitles you to free cards for life.....like your g-ma!

I have a pile of scraps of Christmas paper on my desk....don't ask, so I have 3 made!

I'm sorry about the oh so crappy lighting!

Anywho, since I talked to you last, I've been to another Fall Supper, dog visits, movie Transylvania 2( which was just as cute as the first), the Picture Art (photographs of local artists) up at the county office, the greenhouse Christmas opening, and it's Firepit Friday!
Since it has snowed, and stayed, it was raining out a while ago, we'll be inside.
The crafts will start next Friday!
Getting my hair done tomorrow, dentist on Monday, and I have a bag of apples on my kitchen floor that need something done with them! Also going to The Night of Artists next Saturday night.

Couldn't let any more of the day go by without asking if you had a Happy Halloween!?
I went to Vanessas' to hand out candy, & we had over 70 children & 7 adults we gave treats too!
We also put together her storage cabinet for her bathroom!
It was a good night!

I made Vanessa this card last year when I was annoyed with her.....left it too late so she didn't get it.
This year I was annoyed last weekend; she has it now!!

 

It's a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp.

And I think the sentiment came with!

 

The inside sentiment is Stampin' Up.

 

Vanessa posted it on Facebook & said, "Don't P!$$ off momma, or you might get a card like this!"

 

I made treats this year (of course I did)!

 

I made Halloween Bark.

I also made my 2 bite cheesecakes, and on top of the chocolate wafer that goes on each when they come out of the oven, I put an eyeball!

My co worker got me a sign for my office door, that said The fuel Witch is In!

 

About a month ago I got a prepaid Visa from one of my bosses for noticing that some employees were abusing their fuel cards and using them for personal use!

 

Everything's going good.

Cleaning the craft area so if (when) it snows I'll be ready to get busy!

It's been quite lovely the last few days....like the calm before the storm!

 

Laid the laminate in Vanessas spare room a couple weekends ago when she went to Edmonton.

Just have to do a couple finishing pieces!

Trim/ closet & I'll be done in there!

I have the paint for the entry, but we're still finalizing details!

Hahaha, I'm done work before her so will do what I want!

I overheard them talking about hiring a well known lady that paints in town, and the consensus was

"I want it done right, so I want your mother!" hahahaha

I don't mind painting.

The small bathroom reno (big one is next year...the window needs replaced) was an add on,

I painted it too!

It's amazing what a coat of paint can do! I start with the ceiling!

Let me tell ya, that low splatter ceiling paint.......Bu!!$#!t!

 

Eventually the whole house will have a facelift!

 

Kalen was home for Thanksgiving.....ours is October here!

He's really liking school & the job he has on campus.

We got him studded winter tires for Christmas, so when he was here, they were installed!

 

I bought Vanessa a gazebo for her deck this summer & that was her Merry Christmas present!

The deck is on the south side & NEVER got used.

They actually thought the gazebo was 'a dumb idea'!

Then couldn't believe how much they sat out there!

 

So there!

I'm done my shopping!

 

I've been to a Brad Paisley concert!

Brett Kissel opened for him! He's a home grown Alberta boy!

I've helped with inventory at the local drug store,

went to a  Fall Supper, a few appointments,

I'm keeping busy!

I'm going to do a casino this month, and I'm attending an Epicure party tomorrow afternoon!

 

Better go get something done while it's light out!

It's also daylight savings time, so if you're from my neck of the woods, you need to turn your clocks back 1 hour tonight!

Hellooooo peeps!
First time I've sat in the Craft room all week and I'm not even crafting.........yet!

Went out with the gf's twice this week! Different gf's!!
Got my flu shot, made treats (more) for the guys at work.
Went to the Halloween/ Happy Hour party at the OFH last night!
I gotta dress up more when I'm the barmaid....I got tips! hahahaha
Still have the black nail polish on, and the wash off tattoos.....doesn't say how MANY washes!
OH well, at least most of the makeup came off, and the guys at work loved the tats! OI!

Tomorrow, and maybe Sunday I will be going to help out at Value Drug Mart!

Ray went to the first hockey game of the season for the local hockey team.

He's feeling better, has his blood checked weekly, to make sure it isn't going anywhere.

My attempts to keep in touch with you at least once a week have failed miserably!

I did get the cards made and sent to SAS4K's Canada. Halloween, Birthday, Thinking of You, and a few Christmas.

I got my van back, on Wednesday (finally). I should be good for another 50,000 kms!

Had a lovely time by the fire last night, yeah there's a fire ban on, cause it's so hot & dry, but we were real careful, and had water sitting near by!
Had friends that were passing through to go dig potatoes up north today!
They come a LONG way for spuds; I was happy to see them!

Well, the fire.......it's BAAAAAACCKK!

I've been getting up before breakfast and going to work........banking some time for next month!

I actually got up late this morning, cause were were outside at the fire pit until waaaayyy after midnight!
It was beautiful, and so many stars!

Already though, a load of laundry is waiting to be hung out, I brought the tomatoes in out of the freezer to make more salsa later, found my rubber gloves to chop up the peppers; believe me, I've learned! The beans are soaking for the salsa........
I'm going to repot some plants, put my board I cut & painted on the piece of furniture in the craft room that needs it, and do all the regular stuff that gets done on weekends!
I've had breakfast, finished the 8th scarf (one more to go);
I've played my turns in Words With Friends on Facebook, read blogs, I need one more cup of coffee, and I think I'm good to go!

Ok, got a minute....haha, you know this post will be anything but short!
Got home yesterday at 1:30 pm.
Yeah, got up in the middle of the night to leave Rocky Mountain House!
The roads for 2 days in 2 provinces were skating rinks for a ways!
The first accident, in B.C.

There's a semi on the left, behind the one you see, sucked up against the mountain, and those people are picking up his load of plywood!

This next one was in Alberta.

I'm thinking that trucker on the left; his second trailor went to pass him and swatted the pickup on the right into the ditch!
Good thing the cops were busy while I was driving & taking pictures!
Pretty sure that qualifies as 'distracted driving'!
When I got home, I did 4 loads of laundry, installed a motion light, emptied my vehicle, got the 3 windows on the outside that I'd missed, and helped Ray unload a load of wood!
I'm so tired!

The drive to moms was beautiful!

but the leaves were still on the trees!

We went around the corner, and saw this yard!

We helped the G-ma cross 3 or 4 things off her list!

I volunteered, then volunteered Kalen, but she said that she'd have to come up and show us what she wanted done anyway.............YOI!

Apparently the kids in the USA work harder than the women in Canada, cause I have a heck of a time finding gloves that fit!

We introduced Kalen to second hand stores....he was impressed!

Especially when his mother got a set of 11 dinner plates for $2.75! hahahaha

6 were porcelain, and 5 were Noritaki!

We hung out with family & friends, made new friends, shopped, etc.!

I had a van load coming home, but only apples, pears, & peppers to do something with, and I'll be starting that tomorrow after work!

I had an amazing surprise at my moms at Monday!

There was a lady loitering by the fence!

AND OMG IT WAS MY BLOG FRIEND MYRNA!

We had a wonderful; albeit short visit, and I hope to do it again sometime!

Well, I've certainly been motivated this last week or so!
Hang on to your hats, it's gonna be a bumpy ride, cause it's probably the last time I'll talk to you until I get home!
The O/S got leave, so meeting him at the g-ma's!
I'm leaving Friday!

The potatoes are dug, the lawn mower's put away, the snow blower is out (Did I say the S word outloud?), went to the hair dresser Saturday; so when Curt makes a comment about my hair, I'LL KNOW IT LOOKS GOOD!, and I'm packing my bag!
I know Friday is 3 sleeps, but I got stuff to do!
And the 3 windows that aren't done? Might not get done...........

Well it's OCTOBER people!

So I made some Cranberry muffins, from homemade cranberry sauce...

I know, I know, I'm such an over acheiver!

Then I made some of these.....!

Of course I made orange & (I tried for) black for Halloween, threw in a jar of homemade Strawberry jam, Halloween treats & called it good!

I'm delivering it tomorrow on my way to work!

I say I tried for black, but there's not a black food coloring, so they're a really wonky dark greeny/blue,  they are licorice flavored, so I should be forgiven!

And I didn't have orange extract, so I used lemon...I'm hoping the color throws them off!

HA!

I've also rounded up the last 3 people needed to work the casino between Christmas & New Years for friends of the Library!

I called our president to tell her she could sleep at night cause we had enough volunteers, and she called me a 'good friend'!

You bet I'm patting myself on the back!

It'll last until I p*$$ her off again, and she'll want to unfriend me!

I've got AVON to sort & deliver tomorrow night, and dinner out with the GF's, then stamp club Thursday! And Friday about noon, I'm off!

There's usually a lull after the spraying & farming until the end of November, but we're just moving right along!

Oh yeah, farming isn't done for a lot of people.
