I attended a wedding last Saturday & needed a card!

This is not the labor intensive one I started,

but I was able to whip it up fast, and I liked it!

I always think I sound like a broken record when I tell you how busy I've been!

Of course I'm busy, or I'd be making more cards & blogging!

The push is on to get the house & yard ready over at V & H's before the social!

The fence is ongoing as it's been so hot, we ran out of paint (& I refuse to buy another gallon until it's on sale!), and something bit me!

 

 

Here's Cinderella/ AKA Vanessa doing the bottom foot or so!

That's her job!

 

We have 5 sections left and when the paint is on sale, that will be the priority!

We've hired a girl to paint the entry....

that will be done on the 23 & 24;

what a load off my mind, as I was scared of those 12 foot walls!

 

The whole province is on fire again, as are BC & Saskatchewan!

We had to quit painting fence one night because of the ash!

 

Lots of planning for the social for the kids!

I'm working another casino later this month, our rodeo (scroll down) is next weekend...........

 

I have the last load of laundry in the washer (for today), then I'm going to check my gf's place.

They're on their way to the Yukon & Alaska, and I'm not sure if they'll get there!

They keep closing the Alaska Highway because of fires!

She said I don't have to water anything....they know how dry it is!

Just make sure nothing's leaking etc.!

I'm babysitting later tonight so V & H and their friends can go to the movie!

My attempts to keep in touch with you at least once a week have failed miserably!

I did get the cards made and sent to SAS4K's Canada. Halloween, Birthday, Thinking of You, and a few Christmas.

Here are a few more Halloween cards.

I got my van back, on Wednesday (finally). I should be good for another 50,000 kms!
I'm hoping for more, cause I'll be paying once the warranty is off!
I've cleaned, puttered, put things away, got things out.......

Made my Happy Thanksgiving cards for mom & the kids.

Had a lovely time by the fire last night, yeah there's a fire ban on, cause it's so hot & dry, but we were real careful, and had water sitting near by!
Had friends that were passing through to go dig potatoes up north today!
They come a LONG way for spuds; I was happy to see them!

Well, the fire.......it's BAAAAAACCKK!

I've been getting up before breakfast and going to work........banking some time for next month!

I actually got up late this morning, cause were were outside at the fire pit until waaaayyy after midnight!
It was beautiful, and so many stars!

Already though, a load of laundry is waiting to be hung out, I brought the tomatoes in out of the freezer to make more salsa later, found my rubber gloves to chop up the peppers; believe me, I've learned! The beans are soaking for the salsa........
I'm going to repot some plants, put my board I cut & painted on the piece of furniture in the craft room that needs it, and do all the regular stuff that gets done on weekends!
I've had breakfast, finished the 8th scarf (one more to go);
I've played my turns in Words With Friends on Facebook, read blogs, I need one more cup of coffee, and I think I'm good to go!

I haven't been sleeping.....not sure if it's the heat or what!

We had a slight reprieve on Sunday for a minute when it rained 8 mm!
Yup, that's it. And they didn't get any rain where the fire is!

Yesterday we had NO smoke, cause the wind had shifted.

We had blue sky & clouds, and heat!

I made my mom a mini album from the Family Reunion that was held near her place 8 years ago.

It's there again this year.

Her birthday's around the same time, I'm sure she'll love it!

I'm also working on her birthday card, which, if I get more than a minute, will be done this week!

Vanessa & Shawn are coming home for the weekend!

It's the annual rodeo!

Our student at work is running for rodeo queen, so I made her a card.

I'll give it to her this morning!

The few of you who read this will be happy to know that I am grateful for little things, as soooo many have waaaay more problems than me.....makes me feel petty stressing about stupid stuff!

We had this problem last year, when the fire was further away and to the south east of us!
This was coming home yesterday afternoon!
Those guys by the pile of dirt are putting in the water lines....yup....weère gonna have town water!!!!Yayyyy!

I thought it was blurry, I took several; thereès just that much smoke!

Ray was working up where the fire is, and staying in a camp, but they kicked everyone out to make room for the fire fighters!

Heès still been going to work, just staying here.

Alrighty, now that youère depressed Ièll tell you about the fun part of the week! hahaha

I went to an invitation only Stampin Up garage sale!

It started promptly at 7:00 pm!

If we were there early we could have cocktails!

I went early!

I got 8 stamp sets, some ink, embellishments, paper;

she even had a free basket, and I had to restrain myself! hahahaha

All for $60.00!

If you know ANYTHING about Stampin Up youèll know I got a lot of stuff for a steal!

It was fun, I donèt think we made a dent in her stuff though!

Got home late (on a work night); then ran around watering stuff like a mad woman!

I also made a card earlier this week!

Friends of the Library helped out with the Canada Day BBQ!

The 3 of us that were there had an impromptu meeting, as I volunteered to make a thank you card for the store manager.

I had these metal letters that look like old typewriter keys!

Him & his family have been transfered, so by the time our next meeting rolls around in September, theyèd be gone!

I also think Bloggerès still toying with me, as every time I use an apostrophe,

I get some French thingy!

Please bear that in mind...I DID NOT put an extra E in all those words!

Or maybe itès just screwing with me as I type this! I.DONèT. KNOW!
