"Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out." John Wooden

Good morning!

Did get a card made before I left for Arizona!
Kalen's birthday was yesterday!

You pull the tab at the bottom!
Read it bottom to top!
The little slits were to hold gift cards!

Had a wonderful visit in Arizona!
My friends winter down there, so had a blast. One day there were 8 of us hanging out!

Desert sunset.

We hung out one day at the Gila River.
We then drove in a 4WD to an old train trestle, & tunnel that went to an old copper mine!
Great day!
We also took in the Pima Air & Space Museum at Tucson.
Very interesting!
We also spent a few hours watching the skydivers at Eloy!
Went shopping, got to go to Hobby Lobby!
I DID behave, I spent less than $30.00!
I needed a die with numbers!
Ate out a few times. Phoenix area was having a heat wave the first week I was there! Temperatures in the high 90's!
The friend I stayed with had her house painted while I was there!
I felt like we were in a horror movie with the windows & doors all plastic-ed up!
The crew came just before 8:30 am, and were done by 4:30!
We were lazy & watched the Divergent movie series!

I'll be tired forever!

In other news, our craft is done! Good thing it's been warm out! Never too early for firepit Friday!

These are like sandwich boards, only mine is without the sandwich!
It will just lean! Mine's on the left. I don't have anything on my scarecrow hat.......
Isn't it interesting how everyone does the same thing, and they all turn out so different!

This little guy had a milestone while I was away!

He reaches for things now, and everything goes in the mouth!!

Better go!

Hope you're all well!
Have a great day!
Talk to ya later!

Positive anything is better than negative nothing. --Elbert Hubbard

Hello, haven't seen you for a while!
I've been away, got back late last Saturday night, & have been super busy........of course I have! OI!

I'll show you Vanessa's Birthday card, and a picture of a scrawny moose, then you can get on with your lives!
Cause this post will be picture heavy...........
And let me just say that having a newfangled phone means some good pictures are on there!
Soon as I get them to the cloud, I'll share more!
(And yes, I manually have to send them there, cause I DO NOT have one of 'those' phones!)

Her birthday was Tuesday.
I took her for supper at Subway!
Dropped her off; then texted her that I was coming back, as the town has supplied big garbage bins all over town for the Spring Cleanup. They had just emptied the one at the end of the street, so we cleaned out her garage!

Here's the inside of the card.
I got the big stamp on the left from Mark at
Told Vanessa she had to practice those sayings all year!

I was on my way out to the farm for potting soil earlier this week.

Here's some pictures from our trip!!!
We left Peace River on Sunday the 3rd.
Stayed at Fort Saskatchewan Sunday night.
Lethbridge, AB. Monday night.
Sandy, Utah Tuesday, and we were in Maricopa on Wednesday night!

Saw a few of these below........

These were rocks (I think) at a rest stop!
They look like dinasaur skeletons to me!

Pretty truck!

Lighthouse somewhere in land locked Utah!

Las Vegas.
We just got lunch on the south(east) side!

Our traveling companion
Charlie Brown.
He gets upset with the Dog Whisperer!

Field of corn in Arizona

Lots of solar panels on the houses there

The cacti were blooming

Covered playgrounds

We ate here!
It was awesome. I also had a spiked lemonade! YUM!

I had a blast, we did tons of stuff, and absolutely nothing.
Ate out a couple times.
Shopped til we dropped a time or 2.
Swam in the pool every day except 2 I think!
Road trips to stores, a movie, life is good!
I'll be going back!

This is what the kids did for fun while I was gone!
Built a new fence!

This is what Kalen & I did today.
A privacy wall.
The neighbors deck is about 4 feet off the ground.
The patio at Vanessa's is about 2 feet in the ground.
You can see the retaining wall we built last year.
I'll show you when we get it painted, landscaped a tad, stairs in.....
Anyhoo, even with the new fence, we were on display!
Now we're not!

Kalen said we had to atone for not being there to help with the fence!

I've worked at the Oil & Gas trade show in Peace River.
Had dinner with the gf's & Wine Night Wednesday!
I had Avon to deliver, work to catch up on, and Firepit Friday!!
I am going up the alley tomorrow to finish a little piece of fence by the front gate!
Only because the weather's lovely & I like to be outside!!
Might even get to the farm for a minute.
One of the gf's wants some perennials.

Better go!

Hope you're well!
Talk to ya later!

We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone. --Ronald Reagan

Hello!
Where does the time go!?

I've been for my 2 week check up.
Stitches are out, just butterfly tape & the rod still in my toe;
 I can't get it wet.
My friends think because of rust; we had a good laugh!

Easter card I made.
I'll show it to you so you can get on with your life!

Just a simple one cause postage is unreal these days!

Look what I saw last week in the trees!

Then he left!

And Vanessa & I saw this on our way to feed the cats & Shadow one night!

Up and Over!

No biggie!

Here's his momma waiting!

Just gonna check us out for another minute!

The kids & I went to Peace River on Saturday!
They bought a dining room table & chairs (& bench)!
It`s lovely.....
I put my 2 bits in, and they did really well!
You know; the leaf should store in the table, cause you never have a place for it, it gets dinged up cause you`re always moving it etc.!
Tiny kitchen, get a bench that can sit under the table & pull it out for company.
The usual 'momisms'!

We went in my van and the low tire pressure light came on.
I said, "We need to get to a tire shop. If that comes on when I'm driving I have a flat tire"!
Sure enough, big bolt in the drivers side front.
Vanessa's boyfriend told the nice people at the tire shop; just put a nut on it & we're good to go!
I got new tires!

Had a crown come off (same tooth second time).
Dentist yesterday.
My options are:
Root canal & crown $2000.00-$2500.00
Implant & crown $5000.00-$7000.00
or we can pull it................
I'm going back for a cleaning on April 1st, I'll decide then!

My GF who bought a house in Arizona is moving there in May.
She asked me to go on a road trip with her!
Can you say Thelma & Louise!?
Okay, maybe not, but I'm excited!
It'll be an adventure!

Better go.
Wine night Wednesday (with Vanessas friend) has been moved to tonight!
I'm going to trot down the street with the bottle shortly!
Sarah passed her CAIB test.

I took my life in my hands yesterday when I trotted down the alley to Vanessas!
I could have skated, and I had to text her when I got home...
she's 3 doors down!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

Have a wonderful day with many *SMILES*

Happy Independence Day my peeps to the south!

Well, the yardwork is DUN!
For a minute!
After 2 & 1/2 days of cleaning the camper, mowing, whipper snipping, planting, transplanting, building a new home for the rhubarb, cleaning up wood all over the back 40......yesterday at 2:00 pm, I told Ray I'd had enough fun in the sun, and I was going in!
It's been so windy, we haven't been able to burn any of stuff we cleaned up!
Maybe this Friday night!
I also watched the back end of a snake disappear, while mowing around the dugout! YIKES!

Listening to the radio one day the announcer said, "You know, some people can get a days worth of work in before 9:00 am."
I'm thinking Ummmm hmmmmmm!
The announcer then said, "Well whoopty freaking doo for you."
I was giggling, so didn't hear the 'rest of the story'!
Guess I shouldn't get up so early then! Oh well!

Back at work today, and it's a welcome rest...I don't have to do anything physical....just gotta THINK!

Got a few pictures for you.

This was the sunset on Canada Day!

This is the card I'm going to get in the mail tomorrow for Kalen!
See the knot!?
Guess it would show up better if it were rope!
It's a Carrick Bend!

Here's the inside!

Then my friend Sheree over here at Vancouver Island Craft Junkie asked for some help, so this is the card I made for her friend.
It will go in the mail tomorrow too!

There you have it!
What I've been working on, it's supposed to rain this week,
so maybe I'll get my cards started for the July challenge.

Better go, I'm waiting for a friend from the city to come for coffee.
Actually it's the friend I went to visit in Arizona last year!
She bought a house there!

Anyhoo, I'll talk to ya later!

Ta ta for now!
