"Just keep taking chances and having fun." Garth Brooks

Good morning!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone celebrating today!

This is the card I made my mom!

I am making an upside down rhubarb cake; Kalen & I will go to her place later.
We'll sit outside & take our own drinks!

Weather has been nice!
Lots of yardwork!

Hummingbirds found the feeder!

And because Kalen's back is still sore (I told him he might have to go sit at emerge!), I took the tiller off the tractor yesterday, & he helped with the mower!
Easiest piece of equipment to attach so far!

Today, I'm going to mow ALL the grass!
We have both been mowing, with push mowers!

Have a great day everyone!

Talk to ya later!
Stay safe!!

We know what we are, but know not what we may be. William Shakespeare

Good day!
Hope you're all well & safe!

I'll show you the card I made for Bryson, then you can get on with your day!

I stamped a couple extra so he could color and give to someone to have a good day!

Here's our new(to us) tractor.
Kalen has the spray for the fruit trees in the trailer!
We then attached the rototiller, and he worked up a space in the back for a garden.
Crazy I say, as the garden boxes will hold tons of stuff!

In the back, we planted squash, zucchini, peas, beans, corn, garlic sunflowers, leeks, and onions!
The boxes, so far, have, garlic, onions & radishes.
Oh, one has strawberries from last year, but they will be relocated to the ground one of these days!
I have bought bedding plants, tomatoes, peppers etc., but it's too early yet to put them out!

The fruit trees are starting to bloom!
Cherries

And apples

I have made room for duel lawn mower parking!

As it's mowing season, and we don't have the mower attachment on the tractor yet!
Kalen's back has been sore, so can't lay on the ground to attach it!
He can push though, so that's what we've been doing!
I start the mower; but he can push!!

Kalen has, in the last few days planted 6 more cedars, 5 junipers, a lilac, an unidentified tree from mom's flower bed, a tamarack, 2 holly; pretty sure I'm missing something!
He has bamboo yet to plant, and a sumac!
He can't bend over, so everything is done from an uncomfortable looking (to me), squat & kneeling!
I reloaded a cedar yesterday into the wheelbarrow, when he had taken it out to see how it looked.
It didn't go there!! Haha!

I have been pulling around the dandelion bar, and need to mix up a batch of weed killer, so the creeping thyme can be planted around the stones in the garden. I am hoping it chokes the weeds out, so we don't have to spray!

Progress on the wandering path from the back door to the garden.

All the stones are dug in except the closest one to the back step, and the one closest to the garden!
I might have to get out a bigger shovel!
It looks pretty darn cool!

I have 4 tulips!!
These are up by the house.
I figure the deer don't like walking on the sidewalk, so these are safe!

We had a wiener roast with mom at her place Friday night.
We still don't go in.
We took food, and our own drinks.
Just trying to stay safe!

She was asking if Bryson was coming this summer.
I said, "no one can go anywhere!.
She forgets!

I make her go shopping at 7 when the elderly & immunocompromised can go.
She tells me she's back home before the germs are out!

Better go!
It's raining.
I've been doing laundry, and I'm going to bake cookies.

Here's my quad family I miss so much!!

Here's this face, after a day of quading!

Apparently, he won't wear his goggles!!
Jeez!

Wash your hands & stay safe!

Talk to ya later!

Act as if what you do makes a difference. IT DOES. ~William James

Hello!
It's been a while!
I have a picture heavy post which will hopefully tell you why I can't visit like I want to!!

I make this cutie cards & send tattoos like I promised.
It looks like he needs several on at one time, and he's sharing with his dad!

I work full time (ughh);  I also have an acreage with fruit trees etc!
I have made copious amounts of jam!
Apricot, blueberry, cherry, plum, pear & strawberry!
Most made on my new toy.

The blueberries and strawberries were purchased, the rest I have!
All sorts of liqueurs & pies have been made!

I pulled my cucumbers out of the garden when I couldn't keep up anymore with the gazillion pickles I made!

And the salsa.......

There's been the projects!
I call them 'the scuzzy project of the day!'
This window had irritated me from the moment I moved in.
The paint was peeling!
It took a weekend, but it's lovely!

It needs another coat of paint; may be waiting until next year!
I have a gallon of paint for my front entry that's been sitting there for a couple months!

3 days sitting in the shed, cleaning garlic!
This was the help!

Mom's 80th birthday!

Company; who's house was bigger than mine!

Enjoying the garden produce!

Enjoying the odd!
One of the solar  lights on my rickety deck(next years project) tipped over.
I'm leaving it!

There you have it!

Today's 'scuzzy project' is cleaning out the hole in the basement the old sump pump is in, and putting in the new one!

It's also been raining; my sheets have been hanging out since yesterday.
I need to get my laundry done; I don't have a working dryer!
I need to get all the fruit on the ground cleaned up.
It will go to Kalen's friend for pigs.
There will be lots of pears, apples and plums, so I'm sure I'll get what I want/need!

I've got an electrician coming Friday.
To wire for the dryer downstairs, and to make my garage 'safe'!
I bought some lights to be installed on the garage too!
Then hopefully that's it for electrical this year!

Plumber is supposed to be coming, to hook up my vent stack (so I don't die from sewer gas), and plumb for a washing machine downstairs.
I will be getting a new washer and dryer within a month!
Also, the guys that hooked up my furnace, and duct work, didn't put the insulation back behind the ducts in the basement!
I emailed & told them I wasn't thin enough to get it up there!
OI!
Hopefully when all that's done, I'm dun for this year with plumbing and electrical!

I cleaned all the boards and wood out of my garage yesterday.
Sold the bottles.
I still take mom lunch or supper every 2,3 or 4 days.
Just so she doesn't eat ice cream for every meal!
I get that she's 80, and can do what she wants; I just try to keep a healthy mix in there!
I also stay for a game or 2 of SkipBo!

Better go, it's trying to be cloudy, and I have clothes to hang out!!!

Talk to ya later!
Hope you're well!

If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary. --Jim Rohn

Hello!!!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned!

I DO have a card!
I needed it for our monthly get together!
I cheated & used rub ons for the front!
Because I might have a large hoard stash of them!

I'm going to my 'dear friends' place shortly.
To show her how to prune tomatoes so you get an awesome harvest!
I only ever had 12 plants in my garden & got 50-100 lbs. every year!
My friend D & I saw this wonderful playhouse one night while taking a drive around town!

I leave Wednesday for the Amish Auction Sale!

I've been to the dentist twice!
My surgeon for a check up!
He'll remove the screws in my foot after 6 months.
Yikes!
Of course I want to be awake!
I need to make sure that his power tool is in reverse!!

It's fence painting day over at Vanessas!
After I come back from pruning tomatoes, that's what I'll be doing.
It's supposed to be really hot out today, but is overcast, so should be perfect!

Better run, hope you're allowell!
Talk to ya later!

Positive anything is better than negative nothing. --Elbert Hubbard

Hello, haven't seen you for a while!
I've been away, got back late last Saturday night, & have been super busy........of course I have! OI!

I'll show you Vanessa's Birthday card, and a picture of a scrawny moose, then you can get on with your lives!
Cause this post will be picture heavy...........
And let me just say that having a newfangled phone means some good pictures are on there!
Soon as I get them to the cloud, I'll share more!
(And yes, I manually have to send them there, cause I DO NOT have one of 'those' phones!)

Her birthday was Tuesday.
I took her for supper at Subway!
Dropped her off; then texted her that I was coming back, as the town has supplied big garbage bins all over town for the Spring Cleanup. They had just emptied the one at the end of the street, so we cleaned out her garage!

Here's the inside of the card.
I got the big stamp on the left from Mark at
Told Vanessa she had to practice those sayings all year!

I was on my way out to the farm for potting soil earlier this week.

Here's some pictures from our trip!!!
We left Peace River on Sunday the 3rd.
Stayed at Fort Saskatchewan Sunday night.
Lethbridge, AB. Monday night.
Sandy, Utah Tuesday, and we were in Maricopa on Wednesday night!

Saw a few of these below........

These were rocks (I think) at a rest stop!
They look like dinasaur skeletons to me!

Pretty truck!

Lighthouse somewhere in land locked Utah!

Las Vegas.
We just got lunch on the south(east) side!

Our traveling companion
Charlie Brown.
He gets upset with the Dog Whisperer!

Field of corn in Arizona

Lots of solar panels on the houses there

The cacti were blooming

Covered playgrounds

We ate here!
It was awesome. I also had a spiked lemonade! YUM!

I had a blast, we did tons of stuff, and absolutely nothing.
Ate out a couple times.
Shopped til we dropped a time or 2.
Swam in the pool every day except 2 I think!
Road trips to stores, a movie, life is good!
I'll be going back!

This is what the kids did for fun while I was gone!
Built a new fence!

This is what Kalen & I did today.
A privacy wall.
The neighbors deck is about 4 feet off the ground.
The patio at Vanessa's is about 2 feet in the ground.
You can see the retaining wall we built last year.
I'll show you when we get it painted, landscaped a tad, stairs in.....
Anyhoo, even with the new fence, we were on display!
Now we're not!

Kalen said we had to atone for not being there to help with the fence!

I've worked at the Oil & Gas trade show in Peace River.
Had dinner with the gf's & Wine Night Wednesday!
I had Avon to deliver, work to catch up on, and Firepit Friday!!
I am going up the alley tomorrow to finish a little piece of fence by the front gate!
Only because the weather's lovely & I like to be outside!!
Might even get to the farm for a minute.
One of the gf's wants some perennials.

Better go!

Hope you're well!
Talk to ya later!
