The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched-they must be felt with the heart.~Helen Keller

Well, don't be shocked!
Life has definitely got in the way this year.

I did get to the Amish auction sale!
Bought a chair!
 Always great craftsmanship!

We got to send time with Friends, Fishing and Fireworks!
That was Vanessa's title on Facebook.

Roadtrip!

Spent the July long weekend with these folks!
That's not everyone!
Gloomy, chilly, and fun!
The guys got to go fishing Saturday for a minute!

Went to the Family Rebellion!
Hahaha, it did this shortly after we got there!
Downpours sporadically all weekend!

 My family!

We went to a circus that was in town.
Was pretty well done, but don't forget, we're Smalltown, Nowhere!

It was my birthday last week, Bryson, and his dayhome provider, Maylene (Mayneen Bryson calls her) gave me this when I went ot pick him up!

I even made my mom a birthday card!
Her birthday is today.
Called her early as she was just on her way to church, then busy all day!
There you're all caught up!
We did get to the pancake breakfast, and our town parade which was held a day later because of rain!
rodeo was cancelled this year, first time in 68 years!
It's been delayed, but never cancelled.
We went to the pancake breakfast, and Tractor Parade up at the museum last weekend!
Sounds like we're all about the pancakes!
Next weekend we're going to the Corn Maze that's opening about an hour or so away! Then out for supper, and our monthly trip to Walmart! Haha.
Because we live in Smalltown, Nowhere, we can't afford to buy groceries at our one grocery store! It's worth it for us to drive an hour away. We save on gas what we pay for products.

Better go!
Talk to ya later!
Hope you're all well!

Footprints in the sand of time were not made by folks who stood still. --Unknown

Alrighty!
Hello, Thanks for popping in!
I have promised you Amish Auction pics for a month!
I'll get right to it!

First; they were paving by the tunnel this side of Cranbrook.
Quite a lengthy delay.
It's ok, it's summer people, that's when they do construction!
This is the temperature.
Yes I'm stopped, my cruise is just set!

This is the lineup behind me in my rearview mirror!
Goes way around the mountain!
Doesn't take much to amuse me!

Rexford, Montana
Quilts being auctioned off in the quilt barn.

Whimsical playhouse

Furniture barn.
The back of my mom on the left! hahahaha

These next 2 pics are doll furniture!
I realize I didn't get a picture of the bed, but you can see it's tiny little quilt behind the tiny night stand on the right!

Experiment......

Awesome workmanship!

Interesting pieces......

This next one is at mom's.
It's her 'man' gate, something tried to get in!

Did I mention that I LOVE the mountains!?
This is on highway 22 south of Calgary!

There, you finally have a condensed version!!

I must go get my muffins made, then I'm off to paint!

Yesterday I participated in our parade float for rodeo weekend here in town.
Then we all had lunch out at the office.
I cleaned my saskatoons I had picked the night before (they were picked before Firepit Friday), did the laundry, painted one of the window frames on the garage at Vanessa's, emailed my aunt 2 recipes for rhubarb, and was drinking wine with Sarah shortly after 8 pm!
Today is a second coat of paint on the window frame, washing the entry, and it's Sunday supper!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary. --Jim Rohn

Hello!!!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned!

I DO have a card!
I needed it for our monthly get together!
I cheated & used rub ons for the front!
Because I might have a large hoard stash of them!

I'm going to my 'dear friends' place shortly.
To show her how to prune tomatoes so you get an awesome harvest!
I only ever had 12 plants in my garden & got 50-100 lbs. every year!
My friend D & I saw this wonderful playhouse one night while taking a drive around town!

I leave Wednesday for the Amish Auction Sale!

I've been to the dentist twice!
My surgeon for a check up!
He'll remove the screws in my foot after 6 months.
Yikes!
Of course I want to be awake!
I need to make sure that his power tool is in reverse!!

It's fence painting day over at Vanessas!
After I come back from pruning tomatoes, that's what I'll be doing.
It's supposed to be really hot out today, but is overcast, so should be perfect!

Better run, hope you're allowell!
Talk to ya later!

Believe you can and you're halfway there. --Theodore Roosevelt

Hello peeps!
Nice to see you!

I've been working on the computer for 2 hours!
Not a lot to show for it either!
I wanted to talk to you yesterday, but the battery in my camera was dead, so I couldn't show you what I've been doing!
The Avon is ordered & updated.
I've pinned my little heart out!
Peggy & I are supposed to make a sign for a friends daughters wedding, so must get our butts in gear!
The wedding is in September, which will be here soon enough!

I've made 2 of these! One a purplish hue, and the other a sand color.

They're for the aunts I always invite to moms in June.
So they know when the bus(me) leaves for the Amish Auction Sale in Montana!

I leave them blank so they can use them.
One aunt said, "Don't quit asking."
I'm getting suspicious that they just want the cards!
hahaha!
The little 'Hello' cup is clear embossed.
I kept them simple & flat, cause postage these days is crazy!
I think they'll make nice thinking of you cards! Or encouragement.

Not sure if I told you about the Thelma & Louise trip I'm going on!?
Anyhoo, my friend stayed with me earlier this week while she took a Cardiac course here in town. (She's a nurse)
This was the note I found Tuesday when I came home from work!!!

We had Firepit Friday last night. (3rd one of the season already!)
Also Sunday supper!
Vanessa's a big hockey fan (Ottawa Senators), and wanted her neighbors over that are moving the beginning of June.
Friday it rained so my friends & I went to the local Trade Fair!
That's where businesses show you what they got.
Obviously I didn't win anything, cause no one has called!
I made these One Hour Cinnamon Buns for dessert!
They were awsome, and a big hit!

It's lovely out, so when I get off here, instead of making the card I had planned I'm going to find an outdoor project to do at Vanessas!
I got them patio furniture a few weeks ago.
Happy Birthday, and Merry Christmas to them!
Done. The pressure's off!!
Maybe I'll just go sit on said furniture!!
We are going to do work on the fence, make a privacy screen (from the neighbors), and that might be all that's on the list this year!
I don't feel I can stand on a ladder for any length of time yet, so will paint the entry when I can!!

I can stand to sand the shutters I got to make a screen for the patio!
I've been eyeing up the shutters for months, as they were on the lawn outside my living room window!
I was going to steal them in the middle of the night.
I just asked!
The answer was yes!

My friend P needed a screen & windbreak for her covered deck, so she got the left over shutters!!

Better go.
I bought a bag of baking bananas at the store yesterday, so will make Banana Bread later!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!

Work hard, stay positive, and get up early. -George Allen, Sr.

Good Day!

I've been home for a week!
Tomorrow's a holiday, Happy Canada Day my Canadian peeps!
I told them I'd be in to work if it was raining. It's not.
I want to finish the yard work I started yesterday after the rain, and get my gazebo up!

We had to change Firepit Friday to tonight, as I did Happy Hour at the Old Folks Home Friday night!
I'm cooking hamburgers, making a salad, and I made pies yesterday.
I'm running to town for some fireworks too!

This will be a ton of pictures, and not a crafty thing in sight, so I'll tell you what I've been up to and you can skip the pics!

I went to pick up my mom & we went to the Amish Auction Sale in Rexford, Montana.
Mom & I went to see Duane Steele.
We went to Crawford Bay. A friend from waaaaay back & her husband bought property there, and are setting up an RV park.
We hung out in Bonner's Ferry, and Ponderay in Idaho.
We learned how to play Pickle Ball.
Had lots of laughs, and a great time............I need a vacation from my vacation!

Shouldn't have let him nap,
got our butts kicked at horse shoes!

It's all been fun & games!
Not sure when I'll get to make anything!
I've also been painting the firepit furniture.
I got all the chairs done, just have 2 picnic tables left!

Better go,
gotta get my work done before it gets really hot!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!
Ta ta for now!

Great time was had by all!
I bought 2 quilts.

I'll have to find a link another day.........
Vanessa was coming for a sleep over, and is already here!
Can't wait for next year!

I aquired a lot of treasures from my favorite Scrapbooking store in Rocky Mountain House.
Maybe if they get lots of followers, they'll update their blog!
It's amazing, they have some of everything!
Because I live in Smalltown, Nowhere, I read about all the fun stuff you people use for creating!
These ladies actually show me the stuff, what it does, the drying time (hahahahaha) etc.!

Here's the latest treasures!

Pretty sure I'll be stopping in again when I go later this week for the
My cousin Jeff is a big deal in that business!

So I'm home for a minute, probably won't get any crafting done, but I'll try!
