Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.- William Arthur Ward

Good evening!
How is everyone!?

Think I'm caught up for a minute!
Just until tomorrow when Vanessa comes for a sleep over, and makes me watch Breaking Dawn!
Not like I haven't read all the books people!

Lookit this!
It's getting light when I go to work!
Makes me smile!

I gotta quit taking pictures while I'm driving!
Just asking for a ticket!

I did the Thank You cards last weekend!
Remember I opened my big mouth about appreciating volunteers!?
And, we owed the theatre a Thank You for the goody coupons for a movie when the FOL helped with Daddy & Me!
I'm really happy with how this one turned out!
I used the filmstrip die, and I had the little heart just sitting around from making Valentine cards!

This is the inside, and I used a huge star paper clip to keep the tickets together in the card!

These are the Thank Yous I whipped up for the volunteers that helped at the casino; then realized I needed one more! Just dug one out of the stash!

Here's my pimped out iPad cover!
Shouldn't loose it under papers now!

Here's the view in my rear view mirror Tuesday afternoon!
I had to take Buster to the vet.
He lives at my job!
Got in a fight, and was bleeding & limping pretty good!
This fall under, "These and any other duties as assigned."!!

REally; he likes me, and will willingly go anywhere with me!
In fact he didn't want to get out of the van!
I told my boss...."I have a birthday party to go to at 4:30!"
Boss: "Better get ready."
Me: "Oh I'm ready!
Dog drool....CHECK!
Dog hair......CHECK!
I probably even smell like the dog!
It's all good!"

PS:
UPDATE/Feb. 25/12
Buster's fine!
He got some drugs, worm pills and cleaned up....now has to learn to stay home and out of trouble!
Yesterday he was still moving a little slowly, and sprawled out in front of the office door, but still wagged his tail when I talked to him!

I went out last night with other gf's!
Then delivered some Avon!
I'm ready to stay home for a minute or 2!

I watched Julie & Julia on the weekend while I was in my room!
I recommend it!
Really cute movie!

Here's one of the cats bird watching!
hahahaha!

That's one of the bird baths laying on the ground.
I don't want it to get water in it, freeze & split!
Hakuna Matata people!
The cat catches a bird, Shadow puts the run on the cat, goes back for the bird,  the bird usually gets away!

I'm working on a Cascading card!
I just e-mailed Sonia and she sent me the instructions!
Check out her blog....it's amazing!

I want to thank you followers that e-mail & call me!
I really enjoy chatting with you!
I also enjoy checking out your blogs!
Keep up the good work!

Better go, talk to ya later!

Ta ta for now!

The more I want to get something done, the less I call it work.--Richard Bach

Happy Weekend everyone!
Vanessa & a friend are on their way to spend the day!
I KNOW! Hardly light out and she already called!
Got lunch under control!
We're having pulled pork (not really; it's buffalo) buns with all the fixins, I made a pasta salad last night, and I'm going to try some Spinach & Cheese mini Frittatas!

It's been getting down to -30 overnight.
We had a full moon this week, and one morning at 4 AM.....I was looking outside and my vehicle wasn't plugged in! horrors!
Out I went in my comfy cozy Rudolph jammies to plug it in!
See, there's light at the end of the extension cord, so when it is -30 or -40 I can see that it's plugged in!
I digress; I have horrible sleeping habits, and I really love the way it looks outside when the moon is full, kinda like someone turned a light on......one that leaves shadows here and there, and sparkly snow in other places! So pretty! (Except for the cold!)

Here's a Stampscape for ya!
These next pictures remind me (sadly) of the fiasco of this post!
hahahaha!

These next cards are going in the stash for SAS4K's (Canada)!
Should be on their way to Lynnette shortly!
You shoud check out my friend Theresa's blog!
She made an awesome card for a SAS4K's challenge!

There's a lot of variations of this next card on the web!

This next one says 'Your Fantastic' on the inside!

I did some of these Easter cards, put Dragonflys in the corners for the girls, and ants on some for boys!

Better go! Gotta get the laundry done, get the cupcakes baked......hey, with 'The Help' coming,
they can ice them, and decorate them! I'll supervise!

Hope your keeping warm & busy!
Talk to ya later!

Ta ta for now!

When you are reluctant to change, think of the beauty of autumn.-Unknown

Happy Daylight Savings time!
Like that makes a difference with my sleeping habbits!

Still no snow...knock on wood!
It tried this morning, but didn't get too serious about it!
Between yesterday& today, I've got a pile of stuff done.....I did say to myself a while ago that someone needed to vacum, but no one volunteered, so...............

I put up another motion light yesterday, as the one on the north side didn't need any motion to turn on....it just stayed on!
Today I had a do-over!
The new light didn't work, thankfully it was just the bulb, which I had in wrong!
Lesson there folks, start with the easiest thing first!

Got 1 and some bags of apples in the freezer & made 2 pies!

I also have to do something with the pears, and believe it or not, found a pie recipe for them.
I'll try it later this week!
Got the bag of peppers in the freezer, defrosted the beer fridge in the entry; ok, so it's technically NOT the beer fridge; it has beer in it!
And yes, it's THAT old  it has to be defrosted....remember those!?! I figure it's over 30 years old!
Still doing laundry, put out my big a$$ bird feeder I got at mom's in June.
Cleaned a bathroom, cle3aned the bathroom fan, fed cats, & hauled cat food from one cat house to another!
The old washer got hauled away
Dug out my snow shovel...who are we kidding, I'm gonna need it one of these days!
Got out the roof rake & broom for the skylight & roof.
Put Halloween away. Brought out some snow people!
Coffeed with some GF's that came out yesterday.
Got a roast & fixins in the slow cooker, and baked a loaf of bread. Don't get excited, it was a mix I found in the process of defrosting......I added a can of beer to it, mixed it up and wah la! Sure smells good!

I had a Stamp Club the night before I left for moms.

This next one is the wonky Birthday card. I say that because in order for it to stay open to be displayed, the ribbon just fall down & sits there!
Also, the BIG circle thingy on the front!

We made another Birthday Card, but I didn't finish.
Hey, she just gives suggestions....we don't have to play along!
I'll finish it up, and show you!

I've made some SAS4K's (Canada) cards.
There's a link at the top right of the blog.
We're playing in Alberta now!
I got some awesome colors of embossing powder so made the following!

I made 3 others with a different saying.
Then I made 6 Christmas cards for them.

I got the inspiration here!
I didn't have kraft card stock, so used ivory.
I'm going to make some Christmas tags, then send them in!

I've been making treats for my Stamp Club.
We're not meeting in December so have to be done this month!
I'll show you those when I'm finished too.

I volunteered to help with appetizers for a Cancer fundraiser the town is having on November 19th.
I know, I know; JUST SAY NO!
But my little mind says 'JUST DO IT'!
I also volunteered to drive the handi van for the community run on Thursdays.
My turns are the next 2 Thursdays!
We get a turn about every 9 or 10 weeks, so figured I could handle that!

Better go, you guys have a great week!

Ta ta for now!

It is never too late to become what you might have been.-George Eliot

You KNOW I should be outside mowing the grass! Again.
Don't worry, I'm sure it's going to rain!
We've been invited to a wedding....just one, later this month.
I've had this card in my head for a couple days!
Probably from doing the card following it and getting high on Stazon.
Gawd, that's evil stuff!

So I embossed the vellum, and the stamp is under that.
(Stamped with Stazon no less!)
Then I added pearls, some ribbon to cover Lord knows what showed up under the vellum!
(I also have a gob of something on the back, but I'll fix that too!)

This next one was fun, and it would've worked with the vellum!
You just cut sections of your embossed work out.
I saw this HERE!
I'll be darned, we used the same embossing folder!

Here's the inside!

If anyone can tell me how to properly use Crackle Accents...I'd love them forever!
I used an antique button on the front of the card, cut the little legs off a brad, filled the button full of Glossy Accents, plopped the legless musical note in there, and let it dry!
It dried with a bubble, but I'm ok with it!

Now, as per someone's request, here are the bird houses I slapped together on the weekend!
The little one was bought a million years ago at Home Depot.
I'll have to ask Vanessa if they still have them!

There's no perches on the larger ones, so big birds can't perch and steal the babies!
See, learn something new every day!

Following is the card Vanessa sent her dad for Father's Day; and because of the strike, he only got it last week!

Hahahaha, that kid kills me sometimes!
She's on her way to a Backstreet Boys/New Kids On The Block concert in the city!
Hey, I had to take her to 2 , then she grew up, and learned to drive yadda yadda yadda!
So I don't have to go anymore....don't worry, she's asked me!

Here's Shadow smiling for a picture!

I better go, I see blue sky through the clouds, so maybe I'll make an attempt at mowing,
or maybe I'll just make some more cards!
Do any of you sell your cards?
I'd like to know what to charge.
I've had a few requests!
I don't want it to be wild & crazy, just a ball park figure's good!

Stephanie from Germany's visiting with Kalen in Victoria!
You already know where V went, & Ray's hauling gravel today.
I need a nap, it's our year end at work, and that's always a headache!

Oh yeah, before I go, Sheree's put a deadline on her project she needed help with,
so If you're interested go let her know!
Talk to ya later!

The First Time in Years, the Weatherman's been RIGHT!

It rained yesterday, and today!
Like the weatherman said.
Did I say it RAINED!?
I forget what Ray dumped out of the rain gauge yesterday!
But here it is today!
It's between 1 inch & 1 1/4 inches!

It's in the other garden now, cause the potatoes & peas were getting soooo big!
My peppers behind are looking a tad ill, and I'm hoping it's from all the rain, not because I sprayed weed killer Thursday night. In. The. Wind!
I'm sooo tired of the dandelions, chickweek, etc!

Got some new embossing folders in my travels!
Here's one!

Could I take a straight picture?
Apparently NOT!
Here's another, and I'm playing with an embossing folder I won!

This is really a Teal greenie blue!
I got my stash of Core'dinations on Thursday!

Today I've done the laundry!
Threw some stew in the slow cooker!
Good thing too, cause Rays' sister & husband stopped in;
on their way to a wedding social in town!
Yup, I fed them!
I built 3 bird houses I bought in my travels!
Vacumned & mopped floors, washed rugs!
I know!
Crazy hey, when it's wet & ugly outside!
But No housework gets done when the weather's nice!
Hauled a roast in to throw in the slow cooker for tomorrow!

We also Bluestoned the dugout on Thursday night;
and will be doing THAT again,
as soon as the water's done running through the dugout!

The creek out back is running; we've had so much water!

Oh well, que sera sera!
Can't do anything about the weather!

I need to make some more sympathy cards. Used my last 3 this past week!

Better go! Gonna make some popcorn & think about the cards I'm going to make!

Talk to ya later!

Ta ta for now!
