Laughter is the one form of communication every culture can understand. --Author Unknown

I have a minute!

Welcome Sue! Not sure if you'll learn anything here, but you might get a laugh or two!

Went out for supper with one of my peeps, bought groceries then came home!

I have 2 more BIG-ish projects, then I can build the bridge over the creek (spring run off),
then relax.....I think!

Kalen got hit by a truck riding his bike to work on Friday.
He's ok, the truck didn't stop at a stop sign.
I'm stealing this picture off the internet, so if it's wonky...........

He texted me right away.
I told him he'd be stiff the next day, but he works out lots, runs & rides his bike for hours, so felt all right.

I made him a card.

This will make him smile, cause he knows how far I'll walk for a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte!
Here's the inside.

Not sure if you can read it, but it's a definition of "LUCKY"!
He told me he volunteered at the Mustard Seed that night,
cause when you "almost bite it, I figure you owe the world something" unquote.
The guy wanted to not report it and just pay for the bike;
Kalen reported it....
the bike is worth thousands......
oh to be young & have money!!!
It's a touring or racing bike....
my mom said she can't get out of the hundreds of $ for a bike, so can't imagine!

Then so we don't have another 'card for no reason' fiasco like here,
I made Vanessa a card!

She'll get the 'latte' thing too!
Hers has the definition of 'unique'!

AND.....in case you're not paying attention, I've fired up the sewing machine!
I tried it on this card here;
and practiced some more on these 2!
Okay, don't look too close!
That's why they're going to the children!

Tomorrow night is dinner with the gf's.
Thursday I want to wrap the water lines....again!

I'm taking the heat trace to the electrician so he can put a plug in on it.
I need 100 feet of it!
A couple years ago I told Ray, "this is the last year I'm cleaning off the roof"!
This year I mean it!
Hopefully this will melt the snow under the sky light so there's no ice build up.....
That's what should happen in a perfect world.........I'll keep you posted.

On the weekend I sprayed the last of the chemical out of my containers over by the sewer pump out.
Relax people, it's for control of the weeds;
Shadow knows the 'P" word, and the cats don't like the smell, so all stay away.
My little rubber boots leaked, so I had sewer socks!
I dug the rest of the potatoes.
The whole time I'm digging I could smell cat $hit!
There was none in the gardens.......
I was walking in it!
OMG!
I had sewer socks & cat $hit shoes!
About 4pm I came in,
shoved my clothes AND shoes in the washer & had a shower!
I tell ya....160 acres and they gotta go in or around the gardens & flower beds!

Had firepit Friday, and 5 o clock somewhere!

The strawberry bed is built, full of dirt, and covered til Spring!
I just have my gladiola left in the big flower bed,
but it hasn't froze hard yet and they're still blooming!
All the windows but one are washed on the outside!
2 are even done on the inside!
It has nothing to do with energy, this stuff has to get done!
Tonight I washed, bagged & hauled more tomatoes to the freezer.
I even bought some rubber gloves today,
cause I have a pile of peppers I gotta do something with!

Working on a couple more cards for challenges.
No, I don't have any more time, it just gets dark earlier!

Hope you're all well!
Talk to ya later!
Ta ta for now!

Poor Kalen. Hope he gets everything sorted out to his satisfaction.
Great cards.
I need to make more "just because" cards. H--- I need to get to making a few cards for any reason, period. Unfortunately, life gets in the way sometimes.

As usual, I'm exhausted just reading about how busy you have been. Now I have to go take a nap!

There she is again: whirlwind Gail! I wonder what your two BIG-ish projects are before you get to the bridge... or rather I'm confused: the bridge apparently is not BIG-ish... does that mean it's tiny and what would make that of the other projects? Gargantuan undertakings?? Anyway, I love your cards, keep the sewing machine humming - and "Get well soon" to Kalen... or rather his bike!

Your son being hit is very scary. . .to think about how bad that could have been is unthinkable. Thank God he was alright. Now on to what made me laugh out loud. . ."sewer socks and cat shit shoes". OMG!!! All I could think of with that phrase is that it would make a wonderful country music song. . .Can't you hear someone croon. . ."I've been listening to your crap for so long. . . .I'm walking away in sewer socks and cat shit shoes." LOL And once again, your tales of chores wearing me out. . .Hugs, Curt
