Too cool!
Of course he was helped out by my sly friend Myrna!
And just so ya know Myrna.........I packed the darn phone out of the house with me after your last comment!
And no Myrna, the doors are NOT for the outhouse; just for that you WILL have to wait until we pick up my next treasures. And Ray & the farmers place we're getting them from, can laugh all they want; cause I just KNOW when I bring them home and set them up for what I want them for.....everyone's gonna want one!
I had debated whether or not to flop on the couch for 10 minutes, but instead put a Rhubarb Bundt Cake in the oven!
Here's the recipe!
It's the second most requested rhubarb recipe....right after the Rhubarb Crisp!
And Id'a put the link there if I could find it! Found it!
Rhubarb Bundt
1/2 Cup Margarine
1 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Cup Milk
2 Cups Finely chopped Rhubarb
1 Tsp. Almond Extract
Topping
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
Grease Pan.
Sprinkle 1/3 topping in pan.
Put in half the batter.
Put another 1/3 of the topping on.
Remaining batter.
Remaining topping.
Bake for 40-50 minutes on 350F.
YUMMMMMMMMM!
It's after 6 pm, and Ray still hasn't came back with the boat!
He's gotta raise the water lines in the dugout!
I couldn't put the new seal on the stove....gotta buy more!
I guess they're made for fireplaces, and the stove has a BIG door!
I did clean out all the old gunk & stuff!
I weeded the tomatoes, and gave them a haircut!
The rhubarb in it's new home got weeded!
I cleaned a bathroom, did a load of laundry, baked the cake, and hung out with the kittens.
I mowed over by the cat house & fruit trees.....even though it was wet. I'd have left the bag off, but it's a rear bagger, and, well, it wouldn't have been any fun!
Shadow got some more matts & hair cut off her back end, and more flea powder.
Better see if it's time for us to have another treatment with the oil!
Here's the butterfly I was trying to get a good picture of when I answered the phone outside!
I told you Shadow was such a 'MOTHER'!
This cat must have needed a bath!
Yup, Shadow licked this little feller!
Or maybe she was 'tasting' her! hahahaha JK!
Ray came home for a rifle....talk about shooting stuff!
Came & got the 270, whatever that is!
His sister has a bear!
It's ate her Saskatoons, and has been in her garden!
She lives by the highway, so hope Ray doesn't miss!
I'm only allowed to shoot the 22. I think it's the smallest rifle we have!
Hope we don't get a bear, cause the 22 will only piss him off!
Better go, I guess if Ray's not boating tonight I can makie some cards!
Need one for a GF, towards the end of August!
This was one of my 'friends' status on Facebook.
Ta ta for now!

OK this is worth having to go through the hoops that blogger makes me just to tell you it's me.
Awe c'mon whatcha getting, huh huh? Not outhouse doors?
I am so glad Curt finally got through. He tried about 24 times I think. lol
Wow you have been busy. Thanks for the recipe. My rhubarb needs thinning and I am tired of fruit!!! Shadow makes a good mom or taster, whichever works.
Hope you didn't get a bear visitor.
Your butterfly pic is great.
Gotta go. Later.
Hope you liked your surprise.
Myrna
It was a joy to talk to you at last. You and Myrna are such a blast and I've gotten to speak to both of you. I laughed out loud reading all the things you did. . .I have now given you new initials. . .P W "Pioneer Woman"! You know the story. . .it is certainly meant as a compliment. Now, it is time for me to make you laugh. . .Where the hell does one get Rhubarb if you don't grow it yourself? And if it is at the store, what the hell does it look like? And if I do find it at the store, do I have to cook it first before using it? And the best question. . .can you buy it in a can? I'm sure you are peeing yourself about now. . .I know, I'm such a twink! LOL Again, it was an honor to talk to you. I hope we can do it again soon. Best, Curt
I'm still smiling from talking to you!
You should be able to get fresh rhubarb from a Farmers Market(?) I don't know what they're called down there! Someone that sells fresh produce.
Otherwise it might be available in the frozen fruit section, only I'm not so sure it's a fruit!?
The recipe will tell you if it needs to be cooked before hand.
I'll try to find a picture to email you!
