I needed a card for one of the gf's I have dinner with every Wednesday.............
I was going to make it monochromatic, but all that coral just got lost, so added the grey.

 

She's also getting a vase of gadiolus, cause the wind is playing havok with them!

 

This little feller was resting on the potato garden one day.

He was there for quite a while.

I think he might be a baby hawk,, cause his mama's sure been screaming a lot!

There's a spot of red on the back of his neck.

 

 In Grande Prairie working the casino;

our hotel rooms looked out on to a farmers field forever!

This is the site of the new hospital!

All I can say is LORDY I hope this one has parking!

 

 

This cement 3 sided square silo thingy is also in the new hospital grounds,

quite aways from the actual building that's going on.

Just one of those things that make you go hmmmmmm!

 

 

Well, I will be home on Sept. 1st.

Of course you'll get the obligatory pictures,

and Kalen & I will be making a trip to Michaels for a shadowbox.

We're gonna have a craft day!

It's really Tuesday night, August 20th.

You should be reading this on Saturday the 24th, if all goes well!
We will be on our way to the beautiful Butchart Gardens sometime today; to wander around, smell the roses, & stay for the fireworks!!!

I made a 'guy' card before I left.

I was kinda inspired over here...he's baaaaaaaack!!!

 

A while ago I bought some lovely background stamps;

could I get them to stamp cleanly......nooooooooooooo!

I even purchased the big a$$ acrylic block & everything!

Then I remembered reading about inking up your stamp then laying it down, putting your cardstock on top, and using your brayer........perfect!

 

I KNOW that's a game spinner on the clock on the bottom, it's all I had!!!

 

I also bought a new toy when I was in Grande Prairie!

My quilter gf has been smirking cause I wanted a sewing machine;

but not to REALLY SEW!!

The second night at the casino, she came in for her shift & says,

"I found you a sewing machine at Target, I even took a picture!"

Next day I was at Target..........exactly what I wanted!

Of course it works, and I'll be playing when I come home!

And yes it sits on my desk!

 

I also purchased that lazy susan type storage thingy on the left at Michaels!

For 50% off!

I love it!

It emptied 4 cans of stuff off my desk.

My remotes for the TV & DVD player are in there too!

It even has little drawers!

I can fit a ton more stuff in there!!
