Be brave enough to live life creatively. The creative place where no one else has ever been.~Alan Alda

May 2019 be your year!

We had a pretty good Christmas.
My brother & his son came. My brother works in Sparwood, and his son lives in Lethbridge.
Kalen came.

Mom got sick, and my brother & I picked up the turkey, ham, etc. on the 24th!
She did make it for Christmas supper, and stayed hours longer than we thought she would!
I was at her place yesterday, and I think she's looking a lot better.
I was going once a week to have coffee with her; now I go every second day, and let her beat me at cards!

Bryson enjoyed Christmas this year!
We Face-timed! A. Lot.

I've had a few cards on my to-do list.
Really.
Darn Pinterest!

Since it's raining today, I made one.
This is a shadow box card
It's Bryson's Valentine card!

And it was quite the process!
Took quite a while; I've had something like this in mind since I found that sliver of undersea paper!

 Here's the finished product!

It folds flat to go in a normal card sized envelope!
I used my 'drippy goo' die for the seaweed, as I couldn't find the punch I wanted.
Until I was done!
I had won the fish punch on the internet years ago; this was it's first voyage!
I had one narrow strip of the polka dot stuff for the fish!
The punch just fit!

I have a few more cards on the go.
If it rains tomorrow, you know where I'll be!

I did shovel snow before breakfast today.
Glad I did, cause now my driveway is clear!

Saturday starts the coffee houses for 2019, and Bingo starts Monday!
I missed the last Bingo of 2018.
When I lit my stove that morning, I dropped a piece of wood on my foot; just below the ankle.
Forgot about it! Showered, ran up & down the stairs, cleaning etc., and at 11 am I couldn't walk.
Took my sock off, and it was swollen & bruised!
Sat with it up, iced it, and by the time the nice lady at the Seniors Centre called to say that I had won the 50/50, I could walk! Had to go pick it up before Bingo was done!
My aunt & I bought the tickets together! She put my name on them!
We got $55.50 each!

The Santa parade was good, the light bus tour was fun!
The singers were amazing!

2018 ended wonderfully!

Hope you're all well, and had a great holiday season with loved ones!
Talk to ya later!

PS: Remember the Snowman Soup I made here!?
I happened to be outside when the Post Person got hers in our mail box! She was wearing a Santa hat and looked down the street and waved with the biggest grin on her face!

The trash guy was interesting; as I had to stand at the street with the trash!
In his world, someone standing at the street by their trash can't be good! He was looking at me warily as he picked up garbage all the way to my place. When he got to me I said 'Merry Christmas and Thanks" and handed him a Snowman Soup.
He hugged me! Made me smile all day!
My aunt had seen this exchange, and it made her smile too!
It's the little things people!
