I am retired. Mostly I am just tired. I volunteer, and find people depend on me!? It's great to feel wanted, but I'm tired. Today already I have done 2 loads of laundry and tidied up. There is just me, but still!. I will leave home close to 11 to get the library conference room set up for Scrabble. I will play Scrabble. It is every Thursday. At 1:30 pm I will set up the green room at the library so people(Friends of the Library) can wrap Blind Date With a Book books! I will make buttons, and book marks in a different room. That will learn me for learning how to operate the button machine!! The library is having a Fund A Friday fundraiser. There is a quilt out in the community that people can donate to. We are decorating a float for the parade next weekend. It's being pulled by our friends with Clydesdales! It's for our town's annual Blossom Festival weekend. The theme is Apple Blossoms! I am all over that with paper and Tissue paper blossoms! Our library is only open 4 days a week. We are hoping to raise enough money to open it one more day a week for a year! I have to pop over to see my mom. The regular cook is on holidays, and mom forgets to take her supper out of the fridge to her room!
We have been digging up our no maintenance front yard, and relocating plants and shrubs to make room for 4 garden boxes. Some plants are not happy! We also do not have a lot of color in the yard, so I planted pansies, poppies and ground cover. Our front yard is up about 3-4 feet and has huge rock stairs. I planted creeping thyme in those rocks and in the other rock staircase I planted rock cress.
I also signed up for this from Wildsight. Because we're in the pollinators path. There have been hummingbirds at the feeder, but no birds bathing in the birdbath yet!
Maybe it's my own fault I am so busy!! Oh yes, I can say no!!
There are just too many things to do! It's our Bird Festival weekend! I am playing bird trivia at the Wild North Brewery on Saturday. They often have delicious ciders on tap!
I have also been making these for the Tuck Shop
Better go, get my clothes put away!
