He who laughs, lasts. --Mary Pettibone Poole

I don't know what to tell you!

Fall is here, and that puts me in panic mode!
Summer's too short for everything I want to get done!
Work's been busy....only the POTD (hahaha/thanks Myrna), seems to stay the same!
I've been going early to make up for having to come home & have a nap after my surgery!
I'm ahead of the game now, but it won't last, cause I work the casino next month, and drive the handi van again at the end of October, beginning of November!
The refinishing of the wood adirondack chairs by the fire pit are now next years project!
Window washing needs to commence sometime in the next few weeks!
Everything needs to come out of the garden, including the potatoes!
I need a piece of wood, yeah I even measured it out, to modify one of my storage pieces in my craft room, and it'll have to be done on the deck, cause it might get messy with the painting, and screwing in.....but I'll gitter done!

I DID book my flight to see my boy in beautiful British Columbia in November, and if I'm really good, will be going to Phoenix, Arizona for a wedding in March!

On the list for today is SALSA!
And maybe putting the lawn mower in the shed, and getting the snow blower out (shudder!)!
I need to fix my BIG bird feeder too!

Yesterday I baked muffins using some of the cherries I strained out of the Cherry Brandy I'm making.......YUMMO!
I vacumed, did laundry, split wood, and pumped out the sewer forpetessake!
Ray better fix that this morning before he goes to work!
Think the pump fell off its bricks, or tipped over or something!

I HAVE been crafty when I have a minute....just not card making or scrapbooking!
I DID need 4 cards when I came home from holidays,  just dug them out of the stash!
I'll have you know I didn't even go to a craft store on my holidays, OR when I went to GP a week & a half ago!
HONESTLY......there is NOTHING I NEED!
Now having said that, I WILL be ordering some SU stuff by Friday........that's when the demonstrator places an order! It's always fun, she takes the orders, then draws for the Hostess stuff etc.!

There are some challenges I want to do this month though....we'll see what happens!
I have been reading blogs & stuff, and DID find this card I want to try!
I've been knitting funky scarves.........all the gf's are getting one for Christsmas.....
I'm not worried, they don't hang out here! (I'm on scarf # 7)

I DID find a card I made before I left on holidays and didn't show you!
Just a Thinking of You!

Hahaha, those pearls look like eyeballs,
I assure you they are stolen out of the Halloween stash, and are BLACK!

Better carry on here, and get started on something!
Hope you're all well!

Talk to ya later!
Ta ta for now!

A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs --jolted by every pebble in the road.-Henry Ward Beecher

Life is still taking up my time!
Went on the County in Bloom tour on Saturday.
Yup! For just 10 bucks we got to snoop in peoples yards, get ideas, have lunch....I KNOW!
I think there were over 50 of us on the chartered bus, and a few behind in vehicles!
Got some pictures.

This next one is 2 gravel crusher cones!
I'da sure hated to be the one holding the top one while they were welded together!
We have a huge one like the top for a fire pit, and it ain't goin anywhere!

Just so ya know....I have several projects on the go.
A card for Kalen....the blue piece of embossed cardstock in the middle.
Also in that pile is parts for about 7 Christmas cards (horrors)!
Bottom left are some Thank You cards I'm working on!
I'm also reading the latest Scrapbooks etc., and somewhere there is the easel instructions for Kalens card!

I will try to get that cleaned up and into something productive for the next time!
Been doing lots of yardwork!
Ray has a guy coming to pump out the sewer on Saturday!
Not just any guy either!
Him & his wife won 1st prize Saturday for their yard.......I'm worried!
They've always had a nice yard!

Things I've learned this summer.......
Flip flops should not be the shoe of choice when there's a grasshopper infestation.
Did ya know they have yellow guts.................eeeewwwwww!
You can go through 2 cans of bug spray on a really wet/dry/wet year!
3 if you count the powdery smell good stuff that mosquitoes like!
There's no end to yard work!

Still pluggin along.
Some stuff just HAS to get done, cause winter will be here soon enough!

I'm gonna finish at least one of the horseshoe pits this weekend, and finish caulking the outdoor furnace! And cleaning up dead trees, and......................you know how it goes!

Talk to ya later!

Ta ta for now!

Sometimes too much to drink isn't enough!

Is it Friday yet?OIY!
Life has sure got in the way this week!
This is the first time I've been in the craft room all week, and here I am talking to you!
This is how my week started.
Winter is coming and I. AM. NOT. PLUGGING. THE. SEWER. PUMP. IN. EVERY. SECOND. DAY!
I've done it since January; I AM DONE!

This was Mondays project.
I jerked the old pump out, and the conglomeration of stuff they sold me at Home Hardware for 20+ bucks to install it, all went back Tuesday, and I spent $7.00 at True Value, and got what I needed!
You people that live in towns or cities don't know what you're missing with the water & sewer issues on the farm!
My GF's always say, "Sure don't miss that"; they've all moved to town!
Also Tuesday night, my new washer got delivered.
We then did this backwards!
We installed the new washer, that I couldn't use until the pump was in the sewer tank, and at 11 pm in the dark, we were trying to get the pump down the hole!
With those bad tree hugging fur babies, who now; if they hear you in the yard, come to see what you're doing.
They were NOT wanted in the dark with the sewer open!
I was also out for dinner Tuesday night with about 5 peeps!

Look what I seen yesterday on my way to town to get the mail!

I then went out for dinner last night with 2 peeps!
Finally today, I was home; someone is supposed to come pick up the old washer I said I'd give away on the internet.
I made more porridge for those spoiled babies.

I have about 1 dozen cherries on 3 trees!
Scared to try them, I'm sure they'll be sour!
They just remind me of Erma Bombeck who said, "If life is a bowl of cherries, then what am I doing in the pits."

But don't forget there's always light at the end of the tunnel!
In my case it was a rainbow.
I texted Vanessa & told her that the washer worked wonderfully, and the sewer pumped out all by itself......Life Is Good!

I was also supposed to take my peeps from the Old Folks Home for ice cream tonight, but it rained so I was off the hook!
We'll try it tomorrow!
Hope you're all well!
Talk to you later.
