I'm not sure WHY I was up insanely early, I could have been at work by 5:30 am.
It scares them when I do that! hahaha
The temperature has warmed up about 15 degrees, and I don't see a wind......YET!
OMG, to do my 'chores' the last 4-5 days, I dress in layers, and nothing shows but eyes!
It's been -30, with an extreme windchill of -40 something!
By the time I get back in the house everything is running, nose, eyes, I look like a raccoon on work days..................and my butt is cold! hahaha
There's a little FYI for ya!
Sure I have ski pants; I need to be able to move when I get out there!!!
Anyhoo, had dinner with the gf's last night, they told me I was cranky! WTH!
Had my last meeting with FCSS on Monday, it's not as big of relief as I thought it would be; we met once a month Sept-June. Oh well...........
I've been making cards, nothing outstanding, but I'll share.
I need to make Kalen a birthday card, so tried this fold ......
I should have taken a pic of it open...it's kinda cool......
I couldn't find it on her site, and the link on this page didn't take me there........
I AM trying to give credit! OI!
This next one, I wanted to try this technique.
Then I fooled around cause I found 1 (ONE) sheet of the funky heart paper!
Oh, and I had an embossing folder that wasn't open! WTH!
I wanted to try a 'twisted card' for a gf that has a birthday coming up, and is getting lottery tickets!
These are all over blogland!
Here's a deer I see on my way to town from work daily!
There's a small herd of them that lay along this bush line at a guys place on the highway;
pretty sure they're trying to stay out of the wind;
that honestly,
is coming right from the North Pole!
Welcome to Cindy, Susan, Grandma Jean (I don't want to scare anyone!), Vicky and Rosalee.
They're part of the Fiskateer family, and Jean started this for support.
Hope this finds you well!
Better go toss my stuff in my lunch bag!!
Talk to ya later!
Ta ta for now!
You have every right to be cranky with -40 temperatures. We've only been down to -20 with wind chill and that's enough to keep me in the house. You've been busy creating some very cool cards Gail. And what a beautiful creature that deer is.

ReplyDeleteGreat cards and such a variety of styles.
Your deer looks so bored with all the snow.
Can't say I envy you having to be out and doing chores in that weather even though I envy you living in the country. lol

Love your cards. I am so anxious to get crafting again. New craft space is almost set up. Just have to move a big desk.
ReplyDeleteWe have been having exceptionly warm weather lately. I don't think it has gone below zero all of January. Lots of rain, but that is good. It has taken the snow down a lot. Makes it much nicer for moving.
The end is in sight.
Wow Gail, You have been busy and they are all so lovely, l do like your winter photo's so pleased that you share them its getting a little warmer here although we still have lots of rain and the cold snap isn't over with yet ...........take care x
ReplyDeleteAnd you said you didn't have much time for crafting???? Pretty awesome job if you ask me! You got more cards posted on one day than I've been able to do all week.......LOL Oh well, it is what it is. Life is always challenging anymore and if you do all you can do then that should be enough... Too cold and way too much snow for me, according to that beautiful nature picture. Love the cards and your wonderful sense of humor. "Hugs"
ReplyDeleteWoah, had lost track of how cold it had gotten where you are... we had a bit of a windchill here in Tangalle, Sri Lanka, yesterday as well... but it only served to spend the night without a fan. Love your cards - and guess what: people make cards here in Sri Lanka as well! I will have to write at least three different posts to present them all - I have bought half a suitcase worth of them!
ReplyDeleteOuch!! That's COLD!!!! Don't freeze your bum off, lol!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards - you're really on a roll lately!
ooh, that's very cold; i wouldn't get out much in that at all. yikes. these are all beautifully made cards with some different techniques.
